Lawnmower man charged with drink driving

July 10, 2008 4:08am CST
A man on a lawnmower was charged with drink driving after a low speed chase across several lawns. State troopers in Alaska were forced to use their lights and sirens to bring an end to their pursuit of a 20-year-old suspected of driving under the influence. The chase lasted approximately 60 metres with speeds touching 5 mph before the troopers simply got out of their vehicle and told the man on the mower to stop his antics. Hilarious how when drunk people will ride anything!!

What a great story or joke, whatever you call it. Is this a real story ? I can't believe it. How can a man drive a lawnmower rashly and get fined for that. But man, drunk people can do anything,so we should not be surprised. Well, thanks for such a great news.

I have heard that you could get one on a lawn mower. My ex father in law got one while on a bicycle. It was not a DUI but just a speeding ticket. Can you imagine?

Funny story, just glad no one was hurt. We've had people arrested around here on bicycles. I guess they feel if it isn't a regular vehicle it's ok.

Pukaprat2, I agree haha! I don't know about any of you but I have never, EVER been as drunk as that! I assume he thought he could actually get away from the state troopers? I'm amazed that it lasted 60 metres before the police got out of there cars haha! Brilliant, thanks for the post!
