Do you make a list of items to buy inside the supermarket? Before when i go to the supermarket,i just go to the section where i could find the things that i need everyday. But sometimes i get items that i did'nt actually need,i just want that thing cause it attracts me.I dont know the budgetting things like that.So when i got home to fix things, i've noticed that i've bought many items that i don't actually need than the most i needed. The next time i had to buy things,i see to it that i write it down before in a piece of paper.you how do you control yourself when you got to supermarket?

I always make a list and price everything and take enough money to buy this things and to cover some price rises ect.. But if i dont have a list I end up seeing something new and thinking ' Oo i'll try this' when i dont even need/like it! its pointless!

Hi kellymate!!!yes there's really an instance that we are like that.We can't control ourselves. You have a point in bringing enough money.i've never done that because i always shop with my daughter, evrytime she has something that she wants i can't say no.Have you experienced that?We know that kids are like that but if we don't give what they want we just end up quarreling and yelling and everything!!!Thank for your response!!

Before i go to supermarket.. i checked everything needed in our house. And make a list of it, i dont like to waste time in thinking what to buy when inside the supermarket and it is one way also to save money. Why? Because we only bought the things we badly needed for that particular day or for the week. When inside the supermarket, I always look for a salesgirl and ask where is the thing i want to buy to save time and effort.

Hi crystalgay!!We're exactly the same.We wanted to have an orederly shopping.Whenever we are inside the supermarket,we can't control the things we must but and the things that we buy but we actually don't need. It's really time consuming and effort too.Me i used to go on one supermarket so that i would be familiar with the places of items i needed. It's hard to go to another store because the item are in different places. Thanks for your response

It's true, that is actually the supermarket's strategy, they bring up lots of products in just one store,so when you go buy bread for example, you find yourself looking at lamps or whateverelse is there... I don't know if it's really a bad thing,in your case most of the things you bought were useless in the end,but I sometimes actually remember that yes i needed somethingelse too, and not just what it was on the list...or that when i've made the list i didn't think i could need some other things too.. I am like you, in a way, just that i don't make lists anymore,i just go there and see what they have and if i need it.. It's anyway better to be in a supermarket, where you have room for taking your time into deciding what you have to buy, rather than in a small crowded place where you feel like going out as soon as possible.

Hi heartonfire!!You seem to be a good shopper.I used to get inside the supermarket getting item mostly i only like!!That's my way of shopping when i was single. Now that i'm a mother i see to it that the only items i would buy are things that i always use everyday.I'ts really hard to go shopping without your list, especially when there are kids. They get items they want speacially candies.I'ts a headache!!!Now i've learned listing,i'm not having a hard time budgetting. Thanks for your response!!

I do make a list of items to buy before I go to the supermarket, so that I don't forget anything that I need to buy. But if I find something that takes my fancy while shopping such a great offer etc.

Hi elixiress!!!its more harder to manage your shopping when there are items on sale or big discounts!!!Sometimes if i have a list and i've seen item that have a very low price i could'nt get myself away from it.Maybe the only wrong to me is that i am attracted to items that's more cheaper that i could almost forgot the quality of it!!!Thanks for your response
