Your favorite socializing network?

Aside from Mylot of course. Are you on Myspace, Facebook, Yuwie, or any of the like? Which one do you prefer? What do you get from being on these sites? I was on Myspace first, I started it as a way to get attention to the gaming league I was in, but when my older brother found my profile, I made it more personal and began finding some old friends I'd lost touch with. I joined Yuwie as well, but that one I'm hardly on, and I don't have any people on my friends list that I actually know. Basically that's just another money making site to me. Last night my husband and I were browsing for old friends on Myspace, and for the heck of it I decided to check out Facebook. I found a few different old friends that I hadn't come across on Myspace, so that was pretty cool. At this point I can't really say which one I prefer, because I'm not totally used to Facebook yet.

I am a member of several social networks including Facebook. I just joined it a few days ago. My favorite is MyLot, of course, and my second favorite is Yuwie.com. I have made lots of wonderful friends on there also.

Orkut - Orkut is the most preferred socializing network in my friend circle and I enjoy being there.
Hi. I am on "Orkut". It is definitely the most used and appreciated socializing network site around here(India). I joined it just to keep in touch with my friends, cousins and classmates. I have also found a lot of my old friends on this site. I do receive a lot of invitations to join some other sites but I think "Orkut" is doing fine for me.

Aside from mylot, I'm mainly on friendster.com. I've been there for a couple of years already. Most probably it's one of the most popular, if not the top, sites here and it's a good way to meet lots of people. Aside from that, the best things I got out of it is I was able to get in touch with my distant relatives and family. This also includes my friends from years ago whom I haven't had contact with for quite some time. It's real nice to finally be able to contact them again. My friends go way back in grade school and a few even before that. I also meet new friends through friendster and some of them I met personally. It's real nice knowing what they've been doing and how they are doing. We were kids then now they have their own. Time sure passes by quickly. Take care!

I am on facebook, myspace, bebo and WAYN I have only recently joined them all, I can not get the hang of them at all. I go on them every so often and just add new applications and then try and remember old school friends names to try and find them.

What I thought was cool on Myspace and Facebook is that you can look at everyone who is listed from your high school graduating class. That is how I found a few people that I once knew.

My lot is really the only one I use. I signed up with Yuwie, but didn't care for the site. Myspace gets alot of bad press. So I will just stick around mylot.

I've never really heard of bad press with Myspace... but I've never really had a problem. You can set your account to private so only friends can view your page. I don't really get a lot of spam or any of that, so I'm not finding a problem with it. Although I'll only check it once every few weeks unless I get a notification for a friends request or message or something.

I'm a member of all friendster and facebook. But I was hooked in Mylot. So far until now I haven't open my friendster account, I think about 1 week. I just take a glance some times and I'm still stuck in here. I like in Mylot because there's a freedom of speech here. You can share your own ideas and your side thoughts. Secondary is the earning sake, well we all know we are just encourage here because of the earning but the first thing I want here. People are so friendly and very participative. This is my second family. It's like there's a new ideas everyday and now I'm happy I found this site. Thanks because I was belong here.

Ive been on a lot of socializing websites. At first, before the myspace and facebook was Hi5. I hated Hi5 but everyone had it so I thought Id give it a try and ended up not liking it at all. After Hi5 I made a Myspace account. Everyone was using and several of my friends told me to get it but i wasnt in to it. Then when i was bored one day, this is how it started, the addiction to sociliazling networks. After a good 6 months on myspace it started getting really boring and it wasnt even fun anymore, mostly because of the problems it has, so I stopped using it. My friend later told me about Facebook while she was logging onto it on my computer. After she left I made an account. Ive been using it ever since, a year and a half now. I love facebook; its organized, you can set things however you like them to, no spam, you can block and limit people to your profile individually, its gret!

It's good, but it's also bad in a way. Last night I was searching for my good friend who has told me she's on Facebook, but I couldn't find her at all! I found people who I knew she had on friends, but they weren't listing her as a friend. So that's when I discovered you can block people from searching for you or seeing you on other's friend's lists. Very annoying if you ask me, lol.

I am on facebook, but initially I was on blogger. I guess I like facebook now, but that is just because most of my friends are on there. I think that the number of connections is what makes a social network "better" than another.

I'd never really thought about it that way, but I suppose you are right.

I am a pretty bad Myspace junkie. I think i've had it for about 3 years. I use it mainly to keep up with people. I also have a facebook, but i don't like it as much and i have pretty much the same friends on both. I think the reason i like myspace better is because you can make it more you , by adding layouts and music and things like that.

Yes I like that too, there is a lot you can do with your Myspace profile. Although I haven't been on facebook long enough to know anything about it, I have noticed there are very few profiles that list personal information, like a little blurb you'd write about yourself.

I'm there in Facebook as well. But it really depends on your country of living I guess. North Americans and Australians: Facebook Braziians, some south Americans, Indians, Pakis: Orkut Philippines: Friendster Thailand: Hi5 I have account in Orkut and most of my real friends are there in Orkut. I have found many of my lost friends out there. But in Facebook rarely I can find my friends, and it is American Based and Network based. So most I have in facebook is just online friends that I meet from chat or somewhere. MyLot is never going to be a social networking site.

I don't really like any of them. I joined Facebook but didn't use my proper name, just as an experiment. My sister picked up on it and labled some photos, and before I knew it my name was splashed all over the place with pictures of my OH and kids too. It sort of put me off!

My favorite among my social networking sites is Yuwie. Yes, it's a paid networking site but I don't mind how much would I earn. I gained good friends there which later on became my close friends. I am enjoying there like I'm enjoying here at mylot. I met my BOF (best online friend) there. And I'm really happy that I met him. Keep posting! HUGZ!

I'm on Facebook. I found lots of friends I have lost touch with, some friends who have migrated overseas, met some new friends, kept in touch with colleagues, etc. I also use it to promote my blog and articles there, mainly. Not much super-poking, just playing with Cute Catz and Lil Green Patch sometimes. hehe..

Hi, I like facebook because I'm used of it and I made an application for it. I just recently joined myspace, it seems good but i have to get used of the format and everything. If you want to check out my application I developed-just fo to browse applications and type "Attention Pet Lovers" in the search. It was the first one I developed I hope to make better ones. I hope you enjoy facebook!
