What have you paid for peace

In my own life I have a groove worn in my tongue from keeping the peace.. I realized early on the to try to win every battle made taking the war impossible! I also realized that what I said and didn't mean in the heat of the moment could never never be taken back. Things get forgiven but not forgotten so I decided I didn't want to leave bad memories on anyone's door. What have you paid?

Sometimes Raydene you remind me of me, sometimes your words speak directly to me. I do believe we would be great friends offline. Some of the tings you have talked about have real meaning to me. This discussion is an example. I have given up alot of myself for peace. I sometimes have so much self control that I think I sometimes give up some of who I am. I want peace and harmony. I do tend to keep things inside for the sake of peace. Others will run off at the mouth, sometimes say such horrible hurtful things. I do my best not to say such things, I think them but keep them inside. I don't understand how others say some of the things they say. If I can stop myself from saying it, why can't they. Are we doing right, or should we let some people have it. I think I will stay me and continue to do my best not to say horrible hurtful things. It sure can be tough sometimes to just let it go.

Peace to me is the best thing there is. The funny thing is I find that people who are out to fight and win alot of times end of causing more harm than good to themselves or others. Having fun is the most important thing to me. Why try to win when you can enjoy life right now and have fun.

I have paid alot in my life just trying to get peace of mind. I am still paying to try to get it. I have made alot of sacrifices in my life also trying to find it. I try to keep my mouth shut also just to keep the peace even though I know my feelings and thoughts are right.

Hi raydene! I do prefer to have peace around me. So, I think first before I get emotional and say things I will regret after. So, I do hold my tongue and temper. Think and weigh every thing that I will say and do. There are times that even if I don't want to, I will compromise just to have peace and if it is for the good of everyone involve; however, I wouldn't ever compromise my beliefs. Take care and God Bless!
