The Coldest Winter ever was the most down to earth book I have ever read. If you have lived a hard life then you could relate to this book. If you have a normal life this book will make you see what some people are going through and it will make you stay away from the street life.

I read this book when it first came out, and I promised to get the book for my daughters. In a way I wished I got it sooner because the book is probably the best cautionary tale other than Karrine Steffans book that could impact how a young sister would live her life. I think I plan to get a copy again and read it and give some copies to my daughters as well. I feel real strong about this book that I thought to get it and give it to some young sisters at my church but I thought careful on that. that's how strongly I feel on this book.

I agree, this was a great book. I finished it in 2 days. I didn't want to put it down. Winters life was like a 3d view into hard life reality.

Who is the author? I haven't read this book but it sounds like one I should read.
