...i've got this job and still i really don't feel comfortable working with too many people yet i'm trying to cope up with it..since it really requires team work...however i'm not really used to it, usually i work alone just like before when I was in school every time we have projects i prefer to do it on my own while my classmates are working on with their projects by group..though as you can see it's more beneficial working with several individuals bec. you'll be able to brainstorm, create several ideas..and more..do you think there's something wrong with me?

team - I have always been a team man and enjoys working in a team a lot.
Hi. Don't know whether some thing is wrong or not, but I am quite sure that working in a group or in a team is much more interesting and enjoyable, at least for me. I have always been a leader in the school, whether in sports or in social and science project and I enjoy working with others a lot.

in my own opinion, there's nothing really wrong with you. that's just you. there are certain people that can work more productively being alone than being in a group but you have to take note that you are part of a team and that you matter to the team. so you need to adjust with it. your team will not definitely adjust for you just because you preferred to work alone. you have to learn to appreciate the essence of Teamwork. it's actually nice to work in a work but just also be aware that sometimes it can also be of great disadvantage. cheers!

that is what i actually meant with my response... you should adjust for them and not the other way around because that would be extremely hard... hope you'll get along with your colleagues. cheers!

I working comfortable and happily with my teams members. I think in the team it's important to distribute the responsibility to every each of the members, so that everyone have certain task to be done. Besides that, have more discussion on the work or project you are working on. During the discussion, make so jokes with each others but not out of the topic. The communication is very important for the team. Listen the opinions from everyone, respect every team members. It's not easy to get good team members. Working nicely with your team.

Hello!Sorry to tell you I think there's something wrong with you.You see no man is an island. You cannot live alone everyone is bound to need somebody. And in your case who happen to be working as of this moment you need to change your point of view in order to have a team work among the people in the company. Are you working in a call center?I personally feel it too but i change myself because it's not giving me good vibes. You're just letting other people not to like you as a person and as a co-worker.On way or another you'll going to need somebody if you keep on acting that way I think you will easily get bored with your job and I think you will bound to tranfer from one job to another just to find people to fit with your criteria but when in fact you are the one who really need to adjust.

it depends in your personality and likes... either you ae an introvert or extrovert... but, the reality is that you cannot do all things here in this world without the help of others... being in that kind of environment for me is very interesting and fun... you will not get bored nor independtly do the task... being a team player is a kind of experience that makes you develop your personality and your social skills... there is an exchanging ideas that you will benefit and share from a group... and after that it makes a very satisfying thing if your work did well... at the same time, you will encounter different kinds of personality also that makes you feel that you are one of them... but, there are intances that because it is your habit and your not used to that kind of work then your going to be deviant... you said that, you are in a work which requires grup effort... i think you adjust yourself and conform to the norms of that company inorder for you to be happy and satisfied from where you are now... because that is the environment and so you should adjust to it... as the saying goes, no man is an island, and inoder for you to get a higher position in the future... social skills is also needed... real work environment is different from school environment...

I don't think anything is wrong with you. If you do well, and are successful on your own-my guess is that you have strong leadership qualities. I would just encourage you to let your personality come out more and more. Let the others you work with see the real you. I am sure in time, they will see your abilities and ask for your input. I totally understand not wanting to work with other and be by yourself. In those situations, you can learn to have others work with you. ;)

At the end of the day, it depends on what you want out of life. Is there something wrong with you? probably yes, probably no, but you can be the judge by following one simple suggestion. Having started the discussion, the least you should do is to REPLY to each and every one of us who takes the time to make a reply. Over and above everything else, MYLOT is about conversation, is about reaching out to touch, and regardless of whether you are in the North Pole and I am in some tropical island, the internet gives us the chance to inter-react by exchanging opinions and ideas. Lots of people prefer to work on their own, quite often because some of us are gregarious, happiest in a group, while others are introverted and prefer working on their own. It is not really about being right or being wrong, because fortunately for us all we are all different, but the bottom line is the heading you used for the discussion.....HOW CAN YOU MAKE YOURSELF COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH OTHERS/TEAM? If you are going to work with others, that puts you in a team, and above everything else, you have to learn how to accomodate other people and their ideas, you have to learn how to adjust your own outlook so that you bond with other people, even if your natural inclination is to work on your own. If you like, I'm offering you a direct challenge to see if you're serious....tell me what you think of my reply!

definitely there is nothing wrong with you. you are just used to working projects on your own because you get to think well without the help of other people. in my case, i am not comfortable working with some of my co-workers because they choose lighter jobs.. i work in a hospital and i work in the operating room, delivery room, and recovery room area. so we do all the work in three areas at the same time. most of the time, i get to take the heavy load because if i will not take it then nobody will have the initiative to take the action.. that is why everytime i go to work i always look at the schedule to see who i ill be working with for the day and the succeeding days.

There's nothing wrong with you, you're just more independent than some. I'm the exact same way, I'm a perfectionist and I don't feel like it's getting done right unless I'm doing it. I don't like to work with other people (although I've had jobs that I had to throw my pride away and let others help me). I was the same way in school....if there was a project, I'd rather take the heat upon myself. I think as we get older we learn to accept help and changes, and then again, some of us will always stick with our same old stubborn ways. :)

In my opinion it is better to be in a team instead of own attitude. But in that place you must have freedom to open your ideas .From team work we can collect many ideas and thus we can arrange our work according to their ideas too.

Mind you a loner is weak, when you are in team you are strong. Preferably you should chose like minded people to form the team. How to find them? Talk to one and all, given a chance, you we feel who are befitting you. It may take little time, have patience.

..i don't think so...there would always be a positive output when you are a loner though i know it's not that always...since there are also negative ones when you just work alone...though i just stay positive about it...

You can make yourself comfortable working with others in a team by adjusting. Be friends with the people you are around. Being friendly won't give you harm but would give you more friends whom you can count on at times of need. Work and school are very much different. In school, you can do things on your own, but working needs more than 1 people for it to work.

I think you should try working with the other people. You can't do it if you'll just do it all by yourself. You have your team to work on it, just like what you've said, team work requires here. If the team will unite, your team will able be to finish the project easily. You'll be able to cope up with the people and try making friends with them.
