need a little help here.. i want to share the contents (its so huge!)of a specific folder in my documents to my friend far away, an easy way is for her to access this folder in her pc, same thing as letting her use that folder.. i think this one relates to the ftp (file transfer protocol).. if that so, how can i do that??

There's this application called TeamViewer which can be used by two people to share their contents. It has a file transfer mode that would help you to send files to each other if you want to. http://www.teamviewer.com/download/index.aspx Download the one which suits your operating system. bourne

There's a program called VNC - and several similar ones like it - that allow a person to remotely connect to your computer, see what's on your screen in realtime, and do file transfers. http://www.realvnc.com/vnc You can also set up an FTP server to give a person direct file access without actually letting them manipulate your computer remotely as VNC allows: I use FileZilla Server for that. http://filezilla-project.org
