Have you heard about payu2blog? Can you please help me with that. Can u tell me whether its a scam or not. cos they ask w9 for payments and this one is a paid review site. Has anybody given w9 to payu2blog. How long have u been member in that website. Just confused.........

It has nothing to do with scams. Some sites required W9 forms because they are paying and are required by IRS. Linkshare, Commission Junction, and Share a Sale, all ask for it. A w9 form is required by IRS when a business pays another business or individual that IS NOT AN employee, and who is not incorporated, over $600.00. That is why they ask for the W9 form.

my husband says people can misuse our SSN number. thats why this discussion. have you ever tried payu2blog.?

He is right, it can happen. See what you get here for information on that site before you send a W9. Requesting a W9 for an individual is a proper business practice. You could try looking up the site at whois. Maybe you can find owner info there, how long they have the domain etc. I sent my forms into the sites I mentioned above as they all are reputable. Some of the big merchants like Yahoo and Walmart are listed there.
