Finally catching up (a tiny bit! LOL!) on my MyLot email. I can't make MyLot show me the letters OTHERS wrote in response to you, at least, not 'til I send THIS. I'd love to see what, if any, responses you got! Maybe I should tell folks the same thing, & include The Sentinel stuff...heh). But then...people would know my REAL name! (gasp!) BTW, am I the ONLY one MyLot is making read this weird format, where they've taken the stuff up top & slid it all the way to the left, so you hafta use the width bar to get over completely to the right, then the vertical bar to go DOWN to the actual letters? What a bleeping NUSCENCE!!! (Newsense? Nuisense? How DOES one spell that dratted word; I can NEVER remember!) Maggiepie

"New," yes. IMPROVED?! It is to laff. HARDLY! I HATE it, & is there any way to get them to change it BACK?? It's =very= annoying & time-wasting! Grrr. If it weren't that such nice people come here, I'd =dump= MyLot. These idiots do NOT know how to run this thing! Doublegrrrrr. Maggiepie

So fan fic is fan fiction. Is that just for fun or does it pay? Sorry to take so long to respond to this. I have three part-time jobs now and I'm having all I can do to get back to people besides answering the questions I've created.

It is just for fun. Back in the days of paper fanzines you got a contributors copy, that could be worth up to 20 to 40 dollars, but these days, online, its only the strokes you might get from a review.

That's too bad, with the price of gas, we could all use 20 to 40 bucks, but getting strokes from a review is nice, too. Take care

Glad I could help. I actually started writing fanfic before I knew what it was... I wrote a Man From U.N.C.L.E. fic in 9th grade.

I was a bit confused... thought you had written the article, but in re-reading your post, I see that you just referenced the article to explain about fanfic. Has your stuff been published anywhere? If so, what name do you write under?

Thanks for the BR. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have known more people responded to your thread. For some reason, I'm not getting very many notices... and no, they don't show up in my junk mail, they just don't show up.

I love Fan fiction! drinks all around! Elicbxn - I suppose you may be part of Fanfiction.net? It's the largest fan fiction archive around. Just, people looking for fanfiction have to be careful, you can come upon terribly written story's!

The url you gave took me to an article written by Grace Wescott. Was that your intention?
