BOLLYWOOD - Why are we in the Western World watching more Bollywood films?

I used to watch Bollywood films on TV when I was a teenager back in Ireland. I remember stars like Amitabh Bachchan and the Kapoor brothers. I think my Irish friends would be surprised if they knew that I was a Bollywood fan. Years have passed since then and now I see there is a worldwide explosion of interest in Bollywood films with new stars like Shahrukh Kahn and Aishwarya Rai. Can anybody tell me why Bollywood has become so popular?

these are the different styles that attracts the people in the western world. bollywood films have songs, dance , drama and lovely personification. so, it strikes you. a hero appears as a hero. he can do anything without much problem. but in hollywood, the hero appears to get lost in the crowd. he is most of the times potrayed as the guy next door...

Yup here there are good actors like AMITABH BACHAAN and diamonds in singer LIke Lata mangeshkar , Asha bhonsale ,sunidhi chauhan and good directors and have great publicity stunts and big budget

its so becoz, india is a dreamland and they put their best to let the people feel real and not a drama . They are so perfect with their actings which looks so real and original.
their beauty is also to be taken into account.as Ashwariya and katrina are so gorgeous ladies in bollywood with some handsome faces like salman and actors like sharukh.

Really same question is also comes in my mind that only bollwood actors are famous in all over the word and other like Tollywood,Lollywood and I dont know how many woods are there are only famous in that state not in all India also. I think bollywood has great tecnique and talent and publicity stunt and the first preference of upcoming actor is BOLLYWOOD
