Making friends

I would like to make a friend. Please, is there anyone out there old enough to be my friend? Most of you guys seem to be quite young and maybe have different interests than I do. I'm 64 but not quite over the hill. I'm pretty well a shut-in most of the time but I like to talk with younger people too. You all seem to have interesting lives and I'm a very good listener. I have a few tales up my sleeve too if you'd like to hear them.

Hi Teela I agree with the others in that age shouldn't be a barrier when making friends. I am in my mid 30's and have friends ranging from 17 up to 70 and they all have their own personal qualities that make them friends. Would love to hear some of your tales, and if you wish to share and have a chat then add me.

I would love to chat with you "eveeee". Do you have any children? I have have 3 but they are no longer children; they grown women now. My oldest is 32. About the same age as you. I only have 1 granddaughter and she is real joy. I guess I have more tales but they will have to wait for another day. I must go and get some dinner started. We are having marinated fish, salmon, if you're interested. From Barb.

Thanks for adding as a friend. I have a teenage son, who is nearly 15, and spend my days looking after other peoples children in a day nursery. Not at the grandchildren stage yet, but hopefully one day :) I am still fairly new to this site too, but I'm sure you will have alot of input into the discussions. Great to meet you and good luck with mylot. Would still love to hear more stories by the way. Hope the fish was as nice as it sounded? Eve

Thanks "bharatsignal" for your response to my cry for help. I'm not sure how much alacrity I have but I'm sure I could use more. i am a computer "dummy" This is the first one that I have had anything to do with. It's great to hear from you from such a far away country. I don't know any text shorthand so you'll have to put up with my longhand style. maybe tomorrow I will enter one of your discussions. I look forward to having you as a friend. From Barb.

Hey.. I want to be your fried and don't think age is a barrier in building friendship. There may be difference in views but it may not be due to difference in age. Same age people also have different views and i wanna hear from you !! :)

I am looking for friends too. I'm so new here, I've been trying to figure out how to upload a photo for my Mylot profile but so far no success. Notwithstanding my electronic clumsiness, hope we can be friends.

Hello Teela. How are you ? Age is not a problem in the myLot community, the way I see. We can be friends, exchange ideas, help each other. I have friends from countries around the world. Very nice people. People from different cultures, very friendly and sincere. I am very happy to have joined the community. Nice to meet you too Teela. Have a nice day !

There is no age barrier on making friends. Similar age group people can make people discuss on similar things and understand each other and can think about the same thing. But making friends from all ages can make you think even more and understand everyone thoughts and feelings. This is a very good way to socialize and communicate with each other. I prefer to make friends of all age groups.

Age is just a number there are many kinds of things that you can find in common with any one at any age. I have friends from all ages and I love it because the stories they tell are all different and interesting... so i agree with the rest

I believe thats why you have 2 ears and 1 mouth so you can listen twice as much as you talk. I for one would love to hear about things I have not experienced or just don't know about. Im treading the hill at 40 so I'm not what you would call young.

Hey, how are you? I may be in my twenties, but I know how relate to everyone on some level. However, I find that I relate more to people who are much older than me. Iy you ever want to chat just send me a message. I'm willing to listen to what anyone has to say. Don't be a stranger.
