I need ideas for crafts I can do around Christmas time to give as gifts. I need to make approx 20 of something very similar but different for each person. I'm not too crafty so I need ideas that virtually anyone could do with good instruction. Have you made items for many people as gifts? What were they and did they take a lot of your time?

I make ornaments from polymer clay. I decoupage pictures of grandchildren, favorite places, pets on each... esentially customizing them for the individual. I made several as custom orders at my handmade shop over the last year (and have also filled custom orders for magnets too-another good idea) I also etch a holiday scene, which I'll hand-paint after baking. You can easily make 20 similar ornaments, but personal to each individual which may make it a keepsake. You can do basically the same thing with magnets. Sets of magnets might take a little time to make, but they aren't very costly to make. I haven't even thought of starting crafts for Autumn yet, much less Christmas...lol

I agree with shooie here. I like to make cookie mixes, and cake mixes and put them in jars. I also do homemade granola and things like that. You can make each group of jars different depending on what the kinds of things are they like.
