I too dont believe in idol worships and stuffs like that. But it is always nice to have such a concept being still existing in this world. I do believe that a supreme power is controlling all these matters in the universe. We call it the God. And most importantly our god is with us and they are no one else but our PARENTS. They have been taking care of us, protecting us from bad, helping and guiding us in life journey, they are our GOD.

tht is true friend. i totally believe tht. ofcourse i go to temples but the fact tht u say u dont have to go to a temple and pray to god when u can pray at home, is true. its just belief i wud say. how much u believe in god and how much u trust him. praying to him always and not only during a problem, is just the way to do it. so u dont have to go to a temple for tht.

Do you think God resides in a temple? He is everywhere and in each one of us. He is not confined to any picture or idol or symbol. All these are required for concentration while praying. Otherwise you can believe and communicate with God everywhere everytime. I believe in God too but do not visit any temple or do any puja at home.

of course ... am a kinda person like what you are... actually we all believe in god and just follow and obey his rules... thats enough... temples are places actually for those people who gets frustrated about their life at some turn and need peace and want to build a calm mind in them ... for that we have to create an environment so that the people could feel the presence of god there... thats all.. it doesnt mean that really god is staying there... its just to create a reality in your consious state of the uncosious mind... just a psychological feeling... i too have seen and heard about many people who are regular in visiting temples and all... now if that keeps them incalm and peace then whats the big deal... its fine only...

I'm not sure what your religion says about not going to the temple, but from a Christian's insight, we go to church because it's an obligation. In our belief, a church is not the building, but the gathering of people of the same faith to worship Him as a community. Like the saying goes, 'no man is an island'. God asked us to be with His people in His name. Yes, I agree that god is within ourselves, and I think there's nothing wrong with worshiping Him all by ourselves. But by going to a temple or church, we are showing Him, not to others, that we are here to worship Him with our people, His people. I'm not sure if you can relate to this, but this is what I feel.

While it is not necessary to go to church/temple to live one's faith, it is important to go to stay connected to one's faith and to become richer in one's faith.

No problem dear, many think like you. Faith in God is very personal, one need not necessarily go to a temple to prove that. If you have faith in great God, you can pray and think about HIM at your home, in your heart. It is not so that the one who goes to temple regularly is more religious and he/she gets special treatment from the great God. You appear judicious in your approach.

Hello, priyank! I have deep faith on God but i don't like to go to temples to show my regards and faith on Him.if you have faith on Him and pray Him at home and worship He will grant you His blessings.but if you don't believe and go to temple to worship Him because others are doing what is the use of that.God is present everywhere, wherever you pray Him doesn't matter, your devotion matters much.thanx.

Hi You are right that God is within you and you can reflect this by your act and through your talk. But going to temple is different. It has a psychological effect also. Whether to go to temple or not is depend on the person who choses that. I think if I go to temple and spend some time there, my mind will become calmn and I feel happy in the serene atmosphere of the temple. I will get an effect of meditation if I go to a temple. This will not be possible if we visit the crowded temples.

ya i too have same thinking like you . i too beleive in god but do not like to show people and even do not want to go to temple i beleive that if you are clean by your mind , heart and soul then god is always ready to help you all the steps of life. cleanliness is next to godliness.
