Letting Go...

I've been dealing with my poor financial situation as of late. My checking account is overdrawn, and my pay check is still two weeks away. In my current job, I'm not allowed to work the hours that I want and often feel the breath on my neck from my boss wanting to know when I will be done constantly. At one point I was about to cry. Then after reading a letter from a priest, I started to pray. I felt a weight lift off me. Instead of tears of frustration, I was crying tears of relief. Since that day, I haven't worried over my situation. You know the saying, 'Let Go and Let God'? That's what happened. :D Have you experienced something similar to this?

I have been in your shoes. Finances are tough at times. I do pray to God and I have found that by praying, the burden is lifted off of your shoulders. Yes, I have learned to let things go to my higher power. I was told to do that many, many times. At the time I just didn't get it. I can't tell you exactly when the lightbulb came on, so to speak, but one day I realized that the Lord was there and that I could talk to him and that he knew what my problems were. All I had to do was talk to him about it. He takes care of our needs, sometimes it is suttle, but you will find that things always work out when you take it to the Lord. Of course he is not going to hand you money, but will guide you so that those problems get worked out. Best Wishes and may the Lord continue to guide you and bless you!

Thanks for the reply. Isn't it a wonderful feeling when your troubles are lifted from your shoulders? I am not depressed about not having money any more. I know that God will show me a way. In fact, He opened my mind to using my hobby, writing, to start on the right path.

Yes i have gone through similar situations like that in my life. It's always good to pray every now and then to God. By that manifestation He did for you it means that He wants you to know that whatever pathway you choose in your road of life. You can always ask for His help. God really works in mysterious ways and each miracle he gives in a very small way it's a manifestation of His love for us. Always Pray to Him not only when you need help but also in times when you feel you have no one else to share your sorrows and troubles, also pray to Him just to say hi and never forget to say thank you. I always do that everyday. It builds a better connection to our God and in a way it strengthens our faith. For some people they might say "prayers will guide you but it won't pay your bills" is a very wrong way of thinking. Prayer does more than that my friend. Prayers open up your mind and allow God to enlighten your thinking and your consciousness. I don't want you to loose that connection keep praying even if the answers are not given right away because sometimes when we ask for things we want to have what we want but remember God will always give you what you need. I hope i encourage you somehow. God bless and i will too pray for you Take care!

Thanks for the reply. I feel guide in all that I do lately. I thank God for sending me what I needed when I needed it more than anything. He sent a message through the preacher that He's there and wants to help and show me His love.

Yes. On many occasions I focused SO MUCH on my financial situation that I lost sight of the Lord Himself and the promise He makes in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you." God will NEVER fail us. We however, fail Him CONSTANTLY!! We really need to learn about trust and faith more than ever.
