i am just ranting i think cause i get tired of feeling so used by people. then when i dont do things for people i feel like i am being mean etc. i mean we have renters here and you do one nice thing for them and they expect you to do everything for them. i mean you let them borrow something for a day or two and they think they can just come over and take what they want. it is never thank you its like you owed it to them. if someone does one thing nice for you they think that they can just do whatever to you. i mean you give a person a ride to the store , work etc and they give you like 10.00 for taking them to town for a few days which it cost you 5.00 in gas to go to town and back one day. you are doing this for many days and then after that they just think cause they gave you 10.00 you should run them everywhere for a week. or you let someone borrow your lawnmower with a full tank of gas. they use it all the gas and never put any more gas in it then 2 weeks later come over and take it again and complain that there is no gas in it. someone comes over and borrows butter and then next thing you know you have became a food pantry to get free food from. when you try to be nice and explain you cant afford it they get mad and think you are being mean to them.

well i dont. i am 32 years old and no one owes me anything for nothing. maybe i am differnt then alot of people but if i am broke down on the side of the road i dont think teh world owes it to me to stop and help i think i should of kept my car in better condition and if someone does stop then i try to hand them a few bucks ot something not to mention saying thank you a hundred times. if i borrow butter from some one i go to the store and replace it or offer then 25 cents something. i dont come back 5 mins later looking for an egg , cake mix, and milk too. if i give someone gas money and ask for a ride to town i expect to go where i told them i needed to go and go home or stop off places that they need to go too to help save them from coming back into town not get to town and say i need to go heere now and there and oh there and then i want to go home i dont want to stop at the store with you to get milk you can come back and do that after wards.

To me that is lack of respect. I have a few family members like this and finally said enough is enough because I was getting taken advantage of way to much. Some people just assume and have no manners.

I have noticed with this generation it's not what you can do for others but what they have to do for you. I really noticed it while I was still in the military. The new airmen coming in even talked about what the military "owed" them. That they didn't have to do anything if they didn't want too but the military owes them. I think one problem is the lack of discipline and change of morals.
