Im A Stubborn Girl.

As some of you are learning now I can be stubborn lol. Thank you for responding to my discussion about the cramps and stuff. I do know most of you told me to call the doctor and well being stubborn I did not call the doctor. The cramping has stopped im still having the tummy getting hard and back aches but I do feel better. I will of course keep a close watch on things. And as I said I do still promise that if I get any more cramping I will without a doubt call the doctor. So my question for this one is how stubborn are you? Will you not heed advice like me sorry guys I love you all but im a stubborn gal.

If it was just yourself and you wanted to be stubborn then so be it but you are carrying a precious little girl in your body right now and you need to think of her and put her first. She might be trying to tell you that she is in distress or something like that. I really do hope you contact the doctor if the cramping starts up again or at least call your doctor today and let him/her know what happened yesterday.

So sorry to hear that katiedoubleu. I am sure it is hard on you with the not knowing if things could have been different. I have no idea what would have happened if I had not been in the hospital when I was told I was in labor because I would have been at home with my other two children, I had been in the hospital for 2 weeks already by the time she decided to make her appearance. She is grown now and has a child of her own.

I promised right here on Mylot I will call if there is anymore cramping. Let me tell you the rest of the story. The doctor already knows all about the cramping and the fake contractions. We have discussed it at my visits she is not all that worried about them its more me. Thats why I hesitate because its nothing new really im just parinoid. My doctor has me listed at about 30 weeks right now based on my last period but the ultrasound hass me further along by 3 weeks so its a big difference but we are sticking to 30 weeks to be safe. So even if she did come early it may not actually be early. Now my instinct tells me im further along as I know when I had the chance to conceive and my dates dont fit so I think we may be wrong all together here. Anyways I am still keeping an eye on things so dont wworry i will call if anything changes. Oh and keep in mind im a big baby who cant handle any discomferts lol.

Sorry minnie but I had no idea from your discussion that your doctor was aware of this problem. I just thought you were having the discomfort and was asking what we thought you should do or what we would do. Guess I overlooked something in the discussion if you did mention that she knew. I apologize for upsetting things on here, didn't mean to.

When do you go back to the doctor? You do realize that your tummy getting hard is a sign of labor don't you? Yes, even when it is not painful. I still wish you would come to your senses and let your doctor know what is going on. Being stubborn is one thing ( goodness knows i can be just as stubborn) but being stubborn when it may potentially cause you harm is a totally different matter. If you don't want to go to the doctor you should at least call the office, they may want to move your next appointment to a closer date.

I dont go for 3 weeks yet. I just saw my doctor last Monday. I have had the hard belly for awwhile now and the doctor knows this already. And she does know I have had cramping shes not worried about anything right now. She has told me to call if they get worse which is what im debating cause they have gotten a bit more often but i dont know id say worse. Im gonna be timing them and keeping track of them for the doctor when i do call which im sure i will before my next aappointment but i do feel alot better today. No cramping at all today or last night.

I agree with you cjgrooms. My last child tried to come almost 3 months early and I was in the hospital and one morning I told the nurse that I felt really weird and she called the labor nurse up to confirm her findings and they told me I was in labor and the baby was on her way here and about 40 minutes later sure enough she was here, early but here.

Don't worry about it, I am the same. I am not the best for accepting advice given and at times I hate being given advice. I will listen to it but very rarely heed it. I am glad to hear that you feel better though, to be honest with you I think that you would know in yourself when you need to call the doctor, I always do, I always get the little alarm in me that tells me it is time to seek help or advice.

minnie_ Tag me with stubborn. I only take advice when I'm ready to hear it. Sometimes I ask questions- like should I go to the doctor?- and everyone advises me to go, but I don't. Other times, hearing someone else's thoughts helps clarify mine. About the doctor- I avoid going to the dr. even at risk of danger. I think, "oh well, this will get better on its own. I don't want to bother the doctor." I'm confident in my own advice. My mom tells me- That's why we have doctors. It's their job to find out what's wrong with us. Usually by the time I surrender and go the the doctors, they are can't believe I didn't come in right away, because if I had, I would have saved myself weeks of hurting. bye, from one stubborn gal to another.

I'm stubborn in some way too, specially when i think it's about my principle. I can be so stubborn and sometimes that bring some quarreling with my brother, but sometimes after quarreling, i just felt so bad and uncomfortable because i think if i didn't be that stubborn, than no quarrelling will happen

It usually depends on the subject. If it has to do with my health I am not really, but telling me what I need to do with my life is a different subject.

I am the stubborn type of gal too. Are you teaching Savannah how to be stubborn too. My daughter in law was having pre term contractions since she was 22 weeks pregnant. She would try to relax to see if they would stop, if not it was a trip to the hospital to get a shot to stop the contractions. I probably took her to the hospital at least 15 times. She finally did have the baby at term and the baby is now 5 1/2 months old and doing good. Good luck Minnie, the last few months can be tough, specially in the heat of summer.

I can be very stubborn too....depending what it's about. If I am right I stand my ground....and if someone is trying to force their thoughts on me...I'll just walk away. So I can be stubborn..in my own way....I just don't show it all the time! LOL

hi minnie I am really stubborn too when it comes to seeing a doctor for something. if it doesnt seem too serious I have just waited and usually it does go away by itself. About two months ago I had this cramping pain in the left side of my abdomen and I just kept puttin off going to the 'doctor, well I finally went and he decided it was my diverticulitis acting up so he put me on two antibiotis for it, the next morning I woke up and found that the left side of my abdomen was covered with an odd rash with big clear blisters. I was sure it was an allery to the two antibiotics I had taken, but I called the doctors office and they insisted I go to ER.well 'the ER doctor took one look at my broken out abdomen and said I have good news and bad news, youdo not have diverticulitis but hte bad news is you have shingles. I was totally shocked.here iam starting now on my second month with them but they are finally starting to fade out and I am on a strong medication to help get rid of any pain for a whole month.so am hoping this will really help. take care of yourself and baby to be and dont hesitate to call your doctor if you have any more sharp cramps. good luck.

My daughter is also in some pain in her pelvic and abdomen area. We thought it may be just a stomach cramp or PMS symptoms. It has not gone away. It has actually gotten worse for her. We have a doctor appointment for her tomorrow because we think she may have a urinary tract infection. We do not have insurance and will have to pay for it all out of pocket. I want her to be well though. she is 16 years old and her dad is to have insurance for her but he doesn't. He is so worthless but my daughter means alot to me so I will make sure she gets taken care of. I hope you take care of yourself too if your problem gets worse. I am stubborn to go also because of the bill we will receive but I cannot stand pain and would go if I had to.

Hi minnie! I can be stubborn too, but definitely not when I'm pregnant! I'm a Nervous Nellie and would be running to the doc's if I felt weird cramping. Glad the cramps went away for you. Did your other babies come early? If so, I would have the doc check out the cramping. Keep us posted!
