Angry at the IT guys.

Angry doesn't cover it though. 
Something broke in my laptop. So okay, it's no longer the best and newest model out there, but I have a lot of data on it, and I"d like to get it fixed so I can get my data back. So I went and left my laptop in the hands of experts.
They were supposed to call me when they diagnose what's wrong.
Two weeks later I had to show up and ask personally, because they still didn't call me.
The next day I get a call it's fixed and I can pick it up.
I did. I came home and powered it up.
Only to learn it's not fixed at all. So basically I spent $50 for nothing.
And I will have to drag my laptop again, back to those damn IT people and demand they actually fix the problem. Or at least recover the data...
ARG!I just needed to get this off my chest. Any suggestions as to how to deal with those peopleare welcome. Same as places that sell laptops cheap...

calajane, i can understand your frustration. i am currently going to an IT tech school. it is alot of information to remember. i would take the laptop back to where you had the repair done. take a pad and pen/pencil with you and DEMAND to speak to the service dept manager. get and write down EVERYONE's name that you speak to. try to remain calm during this exchange. explain to the manager what happened and what he entends to do about it. maybe you can ask for store/service credit for your troubles. if he cannot help you, ask for the address and/or phone number of the corporate headquarters to explain to them what has happened and everyone you talked to, including the store number where you had the repair done. i hope this helps and you get your laptop fixed properly.
