I think my written English is fine but it could still be improved and I want to improve it. I almost do everything in English (have to) and it helps maintaining my writing standard, but I want to take some courses to write better.

Hi succeslog! I am satisfied with how I communicate in writing using the English language. However, I do admit that sometimes I commit some errors in my grammar as English is not really my mother tongue to begin with. And although it is up to my standards, I do hope that I am being understood clearly by most people here. I do agree with you that because of this social network, we can all practice writing in English properly here. Take care and God Bless!

well i'm a chinese so my mandarin is better than my english. however, here where i am, we learnt everything in english. science, mathematics, history and every subject in school is taught in english. even at work, the main language used is english. i wish i'm more proficient in english as there are times when i find it difficult to use the correct word to express myself. hopefully i'll learn more about the language as i go along the way. it's not easy to use a language that is not my mother-tongue.

I can write in alot of old school fonts and stuff from when I was training to be a tattooist... So yeah I'm happy with my written English.. I have good spelling and good grammer (the majority of the time lol) But then again I've had a really good up-bringing with alot of help and support in my education. Hence why I can pick up and learn things quicker... Not only does writing help your spelling and handwriting... But it helps in itelligence =)

Hello successlog. This discussion is about English and I think it is particularly about the English we experience here on MyLot. Well I am an English native speaker, who has lived in three countries and I am very tolerant and patient when it comes to foreign language speakers, as I know what it means to learn foreign languages. However, as a courtesy to the other people on MyLot.com, I believe that a number of people need to use a dictionary or check their spelling on the Internet before they post anything here. We all make mistakes, but when some idiot tries to start a discussion on: "whether selling Anhisher Bush to a French Company is unpatriotic", then I think that this person is lazy. The name could have been checked on the internet or in the fridge. Moreover the purchaser was not even French. To conclude Successlog, I accept grammatical mistakes as English is difficult, but false statements and spelling mistakes can be checked before hand. MY ADVICE TO MYLOT USERS -PLEASE GET A DICTIONARY!!! All the best. UMart

I actually am very satisfies with my english. Both written and spoken. But that's mostly because english isn't my native language. It is in fact my second language and I speak it mostly on the Internet and sometimes at work. But I write a lot in english, I read in english and I watch tvshows and movies without subtitles. so I keep on improving my english :)

I can only say I can write some English, but I'm not very sure whether I can always write right. I'm not so comfident in myself like you, however, I think I will try my best to improve it, no matter how years goes. I always believe that languages in the world are the most amazing thing I have ever met. So I cannot be easy satisfying with my English.

Well, you can improve your written English by yourself, such as taking diary every day in English The point to improve your spoken English is dare to open your mouth first, and don't feel afraid if you make any mistake. If u can make your point across in Engllsh, that means you are a good English apeaker. Pleae do not think about the grammer before opening your mouth,as a beginner.

Hi successlog Firstly, beautiful discussion! Now coming to it, I think the satisfaction is mostly related to metal frame of mind. Like when I am happy, whe I feel like writing in those timesideas keep coming like hordes and my finger cannot keep pace with the thoughts. And some oother times I fumble with writing, I do not get any flowery expressions, no lovely ideas - only drab words take over. Having said this, ven then, if you ask me to choose, I would say that my writing skill is anyday better than communicating skill, which is miserable. *grin* Happy mylottig and have a nice day.

I know i dont write good english. you can find a lot of errors in my grammar but what the heck there are a lot of americans who cant speak proper english. they only have the advantage because it's their native language. anyway, as long as my point is understand by other people then i think its good.

hi there my dear friend. i totally agree with you that we are not writing with our hands anymore. we've got the computer, the PDA and the mobile phone. i even keep my grocery list on my ipod to-do list. it's just so much easier to keep everything on my ipod. i'd like to think that my written english is still passable. it's definitely not as good as i'd like it to be but i think it's pretty alright. i read books to improve my english standards and watch out for grammar mistakes in both my spoken and written english. cheers ;p

Dear friend, It is right that English is needed for most of international communications. Even though I am not much good in English I find it bit hesitated to communicate in English with those with other style of English. Still to a limit I am able to go on with my English and hope it would be coming better day by day. I also wish that English would be make as an International communicating language.

Good day friend, Well I can truly say that my writing still has rooms for improvement. It's not my native language so one can't expect me to be quite as good compared with people who are actually using it every day. I will still need practice and guidance in using the correct composition so that I could convey my thoughts clearly.

No, I am not satisfied with my English. Sometimes I find it hard to express myself over certain issues in my discussions. So I am slow typing down my views and trying to find the right words and referring to dictionary. Sometimes I got stuck don't know what to say. But it is fun. Ever since I join MyLot I have been thinking and writing in English. Very soon I will be proficient in English, I hope.
