Hi friend, Now a days it is becoming a big headache for us in spending a lot of money towards gas.So in order to over come that now US gov are concentrating to manufacture cars using solar energy.By this power we can slowly be independent of gas.I feel it would be better for us so that we can save money in future. What do u say friends?

I think any of the options for energy other than gas are a good thing.Problem is that they are to expensive! I saw a show where a guy put solar panels in his house - large house - and it cost him $42,000. Who has that much to invest? I have recently been thinking about this save the enrionment stuff - yeah, I 'd love to use organic, bio-degracable and all those great things to save our earth. ANd I do when I can, but when it comes down to the rock hard bottom, the dollars in your wallet determine what you buy. No way around it. I have seen these organic things and they are 3 times more expensive than the chemical ones. I can't afford that! Throw in if they are minus all these additives that cause the problem, that means the expense to put them there is no longer there, so why are they so expensive? The ingredients are much less, it doesn't have as much additives as the others to increase the cost of production, so why is the organic, naturl product price so high? I think that we should be getting alternatives, should have been working on it for many years but at the same time, since the world is based on oil, you can't just chnage it out of the blue or stop producing it. I also heard on the news that utlitiies are starting to rise and buy next summer our bill will be up to 40% higher! Why? Cause the uitilities use oil to produce the energy, ship the energy, and maintain the energy.

Have a nice day.

Possibly, and I'm for developing alternative forms of energy, but it won't happen overnight. We could ease much of the pain at the pump while also developing new forms of energy, if we would only start drilling again here in the US. But, because of a failed Democratic congress, that is more interested in money and power, than doing what is right for America, the people continue to suffer and struggle to keep gas in their cars and to provide the other necessities of life for themselves and their families. Just about a week ago, the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, suggested the idiotic idea, to President Bush, of opening up the Strategic Oil Reserve to help ease the pain at the pump. The Strategic Oil Reserve was put in place for major national emergencies such as war or a major natural disaster. Let's say for instance it does ease the pain at the pump, how much are you going to have to take out of the SOR to make a difference, and what will happen when the SOR is exhausted? We'll be right back to square one. Right back to the same energy crisis we're experiencing right now. I wonder if Nancy Pelosi considered that? Or, if she even cares. The Democrats want to point the finger of blame at everyone else but themselves. They've had the oppurtunities in the past to prevent the energy problem we're experiencing now but chose to do nothing about it, all because the environmentalists and global warming alarmists, have the Dems in their back pockets. I could get into the lies that the environmentalists are spreading about global warming, which is nothing but a lie in itself, but that would take more time than I have at the moment. Sorry if I got on my soapbox in response to your question about solar energy, but the answer to the energy problem is not as simple as using solar energy, especially when the root of the problem goes much deeper than most people realize. I'll probably get some heated responses for all this, but I don't care.

I don't know what you mean by two party. I'm just stating the facts. There is a lot more to the problem than most people realize, and it's mostly political.

It would be really great if we ould run as muh as possible on solar energy. It's totally renewable, and won't cost anything. I'd like to see someone try and harge us for use o the SUN!!! LOL I hink that olar energy is the perfet solution, and I wish we'd woked harder to ahieve it years ago!!

yes i totally agree with you. using solar energy means the demand for gas will go down. once demand goes down, price will naturally go down. after all the price is decided by the demand-supply curve. if demand is more than supply, the price will only go up. but if the supply is higher than demand, price will definitely go down. hopefully more of us will go for solar energy. it's better for the earth, and gas prices will go down. way to go man

Hi friend, You are very proactive.I think you like economy very much. The demand and curve relationship comes from it.What you said is practically true.Let us hope the best thing would happen soonly for us. Have a nice day..

I guess it would really help since Solar energy is definitely more abundant. Unlike crude oil where you can only find them in specific places, if the source is almost everywhere, prices will drop and gas would have been less used. This, however, is not yet good as of now. We still need to get to a point where we could really harness it's energy. Take a solar car for example. It's real expensive to put all those solar panels just for it to work or even come close to a car with a combustion engine. If someone could invent/create something that will harness more solar energy with less effort/equipment, it would really help. That would be "goodbye" to gas prices going up.

I think that eventually it would cut down on the gas prices because of reduced demand. Unfortunately, the cost of solar power is prohibitive for most of us!

Last night I have seen a documentary on global warming and how the western countries are advocating the solar energy to the poor African and developing Asian countries, which is the most unreliable source of energy in the days of rains. It is refusing the poor nations electric y altogether and the power to run the industries which is the threat to the western nations. Solar energy is expensive cooperatively and the rich nations who never use the solar energy advice the poor nations to use the expensive solar energy. There is an ulterior motive on every thing advocated by the rich nations.

I also agree that solar cars and bikes are one of the good way to save fuel and gas. I hope one day this come true. I surely think solar energy can helps to cut down the gas price. The problem right now is that the solar system costs are very high. I think the solar system price should be reduced. I also think solar bikes and solar cars should be manufactured in order to save fuel and to bring down the price of the fuel.

it sure will. water energy can also be considered but because it is now becoming more scarce, solar energy is the best option. the thing is nobody on earth can steal this energy, not like they can build a dam and limit other people's use of water. so anyone who has the equipment can use it, and it's always available 24 hr long. the sun may set in the west but it will rise in the east, so it's a guaranteed ongoing source. I raed somewhere that the sun will explode someday but it won't happen until hundreds of years from now.
