Does anyone know if there are any work at home jobs that offer benefits? I tried Teletech already. I'm sure there are some companies that allow you to work at home and have benefits, but I dont know of any at the moment.

If you work at home as an independant contractor then you can get insurance either by incorportating or even being a sole proprietor. I work at home and am incorporated and get insurance that way... and was the main reason that I did incorporate but I found that even if you are just a sole proprietor you can get insurance (from my accountant I got this information). So what does that mean? That means that the sky is the limit of the different types of things you can do at home... pretty much whatever you want to do! Hope that helps you out Thanks Zelo

Uh, before you make an assumption you better look into it. It can get complicated but health insurance over $800 is tax deductible so I am actually paying LESS than more. My wife was paying $100/week for two people through her 'real' job... that is not cheap to me. Also there are... I guess you would call them co-ops out there where small businesses come together to buy insurance as a larger group of individuals getting a better rate. I don't know where the idea of small business not getting a fair shake on health insurance came from but I have been in business since 1996 and can speak from experience that it is quite a farce. Take a look into it before you make a decision about it. Thanks Zelo

You may want to try www.alpineaccess.com they don't hire in every state however their homeworkers are employees. Many companies use independent contractors so they don't have to offer benefits.
