Don't you hate it?

When you go to start a project and end up doing a million other things before concluding your project? Like, say you wanted to cook something. Then you notice all your dishes are dirty, so you have to wash them. Then you go to get your ingredients and notice something is going bad, so you have to make that before your original project. Today I wanted to clean my house. Thus far I've cleaned the bathroom. I've been doing laundry and had to keep stopping for that. I cleaned the cabinets in the bathroom, that took a long time. Then I had finally moved on to the kitchen, and noticed the nectarines were starting to go bad, so I had to peel and liquify them so I can feed them to the baby. Now I'm taking a quick break and finally, nearly 3pm I will be getting around to cleaning my kitchen. I also have to go through all the bags I have in my bedroom and find new clothes to fit the baby cause he's growing to quick, so that's a project I'll have to take on by the end of the day. Then, if I have time, I have to redo my nails because the polish is chipping.

Well I don't have chickens or rabbits or dogs to handle like you do. Actually the nails didn't get done until after everyone was in bed. I barely managed a shower as everyone was screaming while I was in there.

Yes I do hate it, but one job always seems to lead another bigger job, or you do a job then notice something else and it just snowballs. I think most days are like that for me I never get to complete anything at all most days, so it gets put off until tomorrow and then tomorrow never comes! I just finished doing my nails LOL

Doesn't it sometimes seem like at the end of the day we look back and say "I didn't do a dang thing today" and really what we mean is we didn't do the thing we set out to, although we may have gotten a million other things done.

It happens to me all the time. It is annoying. I sometimes don't get the thing I started out doing done until the next day because I get so busy with the other things that interrupt my original plan.

Update: it's quarter after 3, and I still have not swept or mopped the kitchen. On the plus side, after I'm done taking this break, the next task is to sweep and mop the kitchen. After that I will only have the dining room left to clean. Then I can organize my bedroom and do my nails.

Yes, it sounds like you are one busy lady. From one woman to another, I know it isn't easy keeping up with it all. Next thing you know it's the end of the day and all you want to do is relax. It's not that easy, is it? Especially when you have children to tend do. I just have one, but that's enough. Wish you well.
