Repeat Interest Groups

Does it kind of bother anyone else that people are too lazy to look through interest groups, and instead, they just create a new one, which then leads to 35 different "make extra money" interest groups? I mean, you know Make Extra Money is somewhere on here, why would you make another one? Do you think it affects us negatively or positively to add lots of interests, or do you think that it should be limited to only what we would post in?

I think that it is counter-productive to have multiple interest groups, but I also think that myLot needs a better system to help people find the interest groups that are available... I've gone browsing through 40 pages of interests, looking for some, finding others - but it is not a very organized system. Having 35 "make extra money" categories is not really helpful; if you are looking for the most exposure (which we all are, since we are interested in having discussions and getting as well as giving replies...), I look for the ones that have the most people signed up for them - and that is where I post my posts... I may respond to discussions in some of the lesser attended categories, but I typically post where I think that people will be able to find my discussion.

Yeah, definitely. I noticed that they at least have it so that when you go back a page, the category you were looking at is still there. So that way you don't just flip through pages and if you decide to go back, it's not a different set of interests like it used to be.

yep,it gets confusing to see so many interest groups and with so many of them being similar to one another. just take this one for example is 'mylot.com' but there's another one called 'mylot' which doesn't get as many discussions.so why not merge the 2? when i first joined i thought all these interest groups were created by mylot because they say we should join as many as possible. that's just the thing,it's impossible to go through that many categories,it would take the whole day for me ;) so i think they should limit the number and delete those that are very similar.
