Who would like to be in, or make a movie rather watching one?

This is not just a positive thought, I am in the planning of making a film next year, a bizarre journey from Dublin to London. I know 99% of films come from a screenplay, that is quite normal, however what I aim to do is create an event first, then record as much as one can after. Some will say it is a documentary, however I intend to act right through the event, with some acted scenes and improvised script and try to get some amateur actors to join in. It will take 3 months or so to complete, and it will be in Ireland and the UK, and there will be moments in all the capitals, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London. The story is about actually living a dream and watching things happen on the way, in reality. So if there are young people who are keen of getting involved in making a film, then contact me. ;-) Imagine leaving your home or job for a few months, and going on an impulse to make an inspirational low budget film! You wouldn't want to do that now, would you? I did before and I cannot wait to do it again. ;-) Respond to fmuldowney More about my previous event http://harvey.travellerspoint.com/74/ PS They journey / film starts in early spring 2009.

Thank you Susanne, any positive words can open new doors, you never know. And yes Harvey is the star of the show, he can be quite annoying at times ;-)

Thank you very much Debs. (1.88) ehem... that would be ideal as I will be looking for people in the areas who may consider allow me and a few others to stay for one night. My experience in Australia was very similar, and the number of strangers who helped out was amazing. This time I hope to gather each peoples stories and dreams on the way, from all of the 5 countries. I have many friends in London but none in Scotland, so it will be great to have contacts on the way. Cheers 1.88

Well you wont be paid in this one either ;-) However anyone who joins in has a much a role in making it as anyone else, camera work, acting, you name it. Im funding it myself, and anyone who helps out will be in the credits. Have a look at the link above, and you can see what can be achieved by just doing it, as one has no idea how far it will go. Thanks

You have the media coverage all ready to start with, so that's useful. I will ask my friend of the IFI and see is there any unemployed actors who would be free to take part in parts or indeed all of it. You are an adventurous man, so you are looking people of the same way of thinking. Vision is a great gift. Lyn
