If you had good news, who would you call first?

If you were to find out good news, who would you call first? Spouse? Sister? Best friend? If you found out that you were pregnant, or just got fired, who would you want to talk with first for support? If I had really good news to share, most likely I'd call my spouse first. He's the first one to know all the good and bad things going on in my life. He's a really big part of my personal support system. Years ago, I would have called a friend or brother, but now, I keep my good news closer to home. What about you?

I would call my spouse and my parents as the first people to know, it also depends on the situation I guess. If for example I found out I was pregnant then my spouse would definatly be the first one to know, if I loose some pounds with hard work it's something I most likely tell my mom first . Not sure who I'd call first when loosing a job, I guess my mom because I still live at home and would have to find out if there is some way she can support me through college as I wouldn't have a job for some time untill I found a new one. My boyfriend/fiance is still in college too so it's hard to ask him for this type of support even though I would call him next straight away for emotional support.

Definitely your mom would have to know about something like that. It's nice that you are on good speaking terms with her.

If I got some good news the person I'd call first would most prbably be my sister Shannon in Nova Scotia. Her and I are very close and we always call each other whenever something big happens in our lives.

Growing up, I wished that I had a sister. Brothers are not a replacement for sisters!

When my spouse was working seven days a week we were so lucky to have cell phones. We talked constantly by cell during his absence. Otherwise, our schedules were different so we never got to see each other at home, except for an hour or so a day. Things are different now and he doesn't work nearly so much. I'm OK with that.

I usually end up keeping information to myself. And that's usually for the meantime. I just like having good news kept to myself because of the rush that comes with that news. Eventually I'll tell someone in my family.

Good news, it would definately be my hubby first. He is always the first person I call with anything, well not call exactly but text. I just automatically tell him everything first and then it would be my Mum after that.

There are only 2 people in my life I go to with any kind of news. My husband is almost always the first I go to, especially if it's really big news. My best friend is usually the second I go to. The only time I'd ever go to the best friend first is because she's slightly more convenient, because I'm in IM with her almost constantly while hubby is at work.

If I would have good news, I would tell it to my girlfriend first. She is the one to whom I share the world with and every part of my life with. That will also hold true for bad news. I know she will be the one to whom I can count on when I need support. Have a nice day!

Yes, I would call my spouse first and then my best friend. I try to share all the news with my husband first. I would for sure tell my friend as she is always listening to my problems as well as my news. Of course, I would share it with my kids too if it was something that they should know. I believe that it is extremely important to have a network of people that you can talk to when you need to share something.

I would first tell my brother and my family. Simply because my brother is probably the one I am closest to and my are the ones I live with and obviously play a very big part of my life. Aside from my family, I guess the first person I would tell would be my best friend.
