I would like to know what you guys do with your spare change? Since it adds up over time, what do you decide to do with it when it is time to cash in? I have about $55 saved up in change, I will cash it in for money in December when it is time to take my trip to Sweden, I will use it as spare spending money. So do you have a designated plan for your change? Or do you just leave it in your purse/wallet for spending, or throw it somewhere and forget about it?

If I ever have any internet spare change I give it to this pretty interesting website/idea. www.enetbum.com dont know if it actually helps someone out or not, but I feel good about it. I just give spare change here and there when my paypal account dwindles to small amounts.

I save my spare change, in a large coffee canister. I used to have a water bottle. Once i save over $1,000.00, in change. I cashed it in and opened up a bank account. Whenever i needed extra money I had that account to go to. I now have about $100.00, in spare change. I will try not to cash it in, and see how much I Can save this time.

I dump the change out of my wallet and into a big box every night. When I come across something I want that is not really reasonable, Itake it to the grocery store and dump it into the machine that gives a receipt which is then exchanged for folding money at the customer service register. I reserve this money for silly stuff! Last time I went to the machine, I had just short of $200! I had no idea I'd actually be able to buy those boots I wanted, which make no sense since I live in the subtropics! It's sort of like giving myself a gif!

It usually gets spent pretty quickly. I hardly ever get a big amount of spare change. I give it to my sister for the ice cream truck or my other sister for the vending machines at school. So she can get a drink or snack if she wants it. I have about a $1.00 in spare change in my purse right now. I have a place to put my spare change and to save it up but that never happens. I think I have like 10 pennies in there.

We save all our loose change that we dont use, and use it for a day out with our girls that we might not be able to afford otherwise

Good question. Before I had my son me and my husband use to put our change in this big water bottle. Once it either gets 1/4 way full or after a couple of months we would cash it in and use it for either a nice dinner or to do something for the day. Now that I have my son I of course put all my change in his piggy banks and when his is full then we will also put in that big water bottle. After awhile we will cash it in and put it in my son's savings account.
