When I was younger, I used to beleive those stuff and really get amazed with the fortune teller and have high regard to such people. But when I became a christian and when i matured I have leanred that they have no bearing and wedont have to beleive such false words and false telling of the future using cards and even using the palm to tell us of our fate. God has a perefect plan for ou lives and he alone knows best and He alone knows our future.

I never believed in fortune telling. I regarded it the same way as guessing. Someone told me that I would have two children, but I figured she mean two birth children, but we adopted two so that guess was one. They also said I had a long life line, well if I get to late eighties, then they guessed right. Someone told me that if I get my wish right then it would hurt someone else, and I suppose if it were by a fortune telling, seeing that fortune telling does not come from God, but is used by the devil to lure believers from the truth, an auspicious outcome to me would act negative to someone else. Only God knows what would help us and HE would if HE wanted grant us our need without harming anyone else. So, of instance, God might grant me a baby even though I am past the age when it is naturally possible, and HE would not require another woman to have a miscarriage to accomplish that or give my husband and I poverty. Whereas in fortune teller, the wish accomplished by one would come at a horrible price.

Im just glad that we share the same ideas here. I just pity those still believe in this kind of nonsense. I also feel bad when someone I know or a freind goes to met these kind of people. It means that they dont trust God that they refer to fortune tellers who seem to gain much more money out from us. Its like they are playing games on us, There was a friend of minethat went to one and the fortune told her that their house will be burned. She was worried about it and the next days came, there was really fire but it was not their house but the house of the neighbor.

It used to be that people did not believe in this nonsense and it was illegal. But I guess anything goes nowadays except decency and morality. And thanks for the best response.

Yeah...i Agree with you bout such viewpoint on foretelling the future~~ Sometimez we may feel it was right or and did something relevant or Just a wArning of what has to be happen.in Reality..!! But the main Point here is we mustn't believe other things nor ideas But only on What had been written for decades in the "HOLY BIBLE"..and to the fact that we MUSt TRUST GOD in everything for what may come to happen to our LIves in the future whether "GOOD" or "BAD" GOD has it's reason on it.... +chill+ @jam@ ~live life~ keep it simple -.-

Yes, thank you for your response. Its the Bible that contains all the truths in theri including the warnings that the people should take into consideration. if people will jsut read the Bible, life will be worth living and they wont have to go anywhere and to just anyone to look for answers. The Bible told us so. This would make the world a place worth living for, but the reality is there are lots and lots of frauds around just for a living to feed hungry mouths.

I never used to believe in this sort of thing until my father passed away...I went to a few spiritual readers and they changed my mind, I went first to a spiritual sketch artist and she drew a spirit guide that was standing behind me and the sketch was a sketch of my father, she didn't tell anything about futures or anything and said sent me over to the spiritualist church for a reading and at the time she told me things that I thought she was a fraud but later down the track in my life they all came true and lead me to another reader months down the track that almost continued what the other had said but they didn't even know each other, it was amazing both had to do with a little girl spirit and my father...mind you I know there is a lot of frauds out there but i firmly belive if you really have you mind open and there is someone in the spirit world who wants to connect with you a good spirit reader will make contact, my experience was over two years where looking back I was lead to a particular lady who did connect with my father and it was all like a series of links leading me there to that direction.....

Sometimes the enemy will decieve us to do things specially when he knows that its our weakness. Like you, you lost your father, they make it appear that it seemed true but we are dceived to believe these things that has something to do with the dark arts and of course the author is the devil. I hope you will be careful next time.

I've always been skeptic about fortune telling. At the back of my head, I'd always think if this person was telling the truth or just pulling my leg. plus the fact that it is written somewhere in the bible that we shouldn't believe in these stuff. Just like yesterday, it was predicted that there would be an earthquake so strong that many will be killed. i didn't believe from the start. Only God knows what will happen and He will make it happen when the right time comes. Other than that, no one has the power to say what will happen in the future.

Yes i got an email about such news, I just laughed about it. The last seven years of the world has not even started. Our pastor said that the counting will start when the temple in Israel will be built again.

I don't believe in it, it's all just a money making scheme, I've has this one lady follow me around a shopping center tell me all sorts of random things, to get her off my back I listened to her for about two minutes gave her five bucks and she told me to come to her office she'll light candles for me, what a load of crock! What she told me could have applied to anyone. I think it's a waste of time.

I don't think i have ever actually had my fortune told to me before. I have read my fortune in a fortune cookie though. I have to say that I cannot actually believe those to be true either. None of the ones that I have read have ever came true for me yet. If a fortune ever came true, then I may believe them.

I don't believe in fortune tellers at all. As a Christian also I believe that if God wants us to know the future He will reveal it to us in His time. I personally think that if a fortune teller should accidentally predict something that does happen that it would be solely by accident or it would be revealed to them by satan. I know some people will think I am crazy for saying that but that is how I honestly believe. God Bless!! Shelia

When I was a lot younger, I have been fascinated with fortune telling. Well, I must admit that there were times when I was younger that I also listened to fortune tellers. However, when I got a little more matured, I realized that no one really knows what could possibly happen in the future. I believe that God only knows what is in store for us.

I do not believe in fortune telling as I am a christian who accepted christ and I know that fortune telling is not a true story. But I have heard the fortune tellers telling some stories and when we used to hear those, they almost make us believe that whatever they predict is going to come true. But in the end I know that God has a reason and purpose for everything and that is what takes the upper hand in our lives.

Well, I read in the Bible that those people have always been around. It is said that "witchcraft" is the oldest form of religion known to man. There were "soothsayers" mentioned- alas- those who "knew things". Since my faith comes from what I have read and feel in my heart, I have no need for anyone advising me from their point of view. I agree with you! God has us all in the palm of his hand. Ask him anything, the right way and let him be your guide.

Its God and we should trust Him to do the rest for our lives. Sharing Psalm 139 1 O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. 5 You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

I've never been to a fortune tell but I use to read my horoscope everyday. I was almost addicted to it. I don't even bother looking at it anymore. I agree with you. God has a perfect plan for our life. I have had some dreams before that actually came true but I think that was God too, warning about things. I believe God can reveal things to us if he chooses.

No not really anymore. Used to listen to those fortune tellers when I was younger but not anymore. I think I know what I am doing and if I think it's right I will do it, I don't need someone to tell my life before me.

It is not wise to go to fortune tellers and dabble in things of that nature, and if you are a Christian you can read in the Bible in the book of Deutronomy chapter 18 what God says about those things. That being said, fortune telling can be done and can be real for one reason and that is because satan has been around longer than we have and he knows more about your family and your heritage than you do, also he has watched humans for a long time and if you watch someone or anything for long enough you will notice patterns of behaviour and the results of such behaviour. and what may seem like predictions that are true are really only educated guesses that can have a high rate of being right, but only because we humans are so predictable. God alone knows the future is correct but God allows satan to do many things in this world and sometimes God allows what is predicted to happen only because of the fact we are trusting in the wiles of the devil or satan instead of believing and trusting in the one true God who holds all of his children in his hand,. I am glad to hear you have accepted Christ into your life I hope you will study your Bible every day, and find a good Bible teaching church so that you may grow strong in your faith. Remember to always trust God even when life is hard, and try to not get swayed by what looks like an easy way to find answers, going to fortune tellers opens doors into the occult in not only your life but into the lives of your loved ones. It is a dangerous door to be allowed to open in your life. That door needs to be shut tightly. Place your focus on God, and remember that God loves you always and when the days of your life are hard and you can not see or feel God it is because he is carrying you through a storm you would not make it through on your own. God is even now carrying me through many stormy waves, I speak from experience, and sometimes when I get my focus off God, the waves of the storms of this life can seem very overwhelming and it can seem like going into the occult would be okay or not so bad, and the reason I think that is because of the fact that the occult is in my background, and that is a very hard door to keep closed when you are feeling overwhelmed by life. But you can you just have to keep your focus on God even while everything else around you falls apart. God will never forsake you or leave you if you are trully his child. Hold close to God, and stay as far away from the occult as you can possibly get, and you will save yourself a lot of heartaches. along lifes roads.

I don't believe in fortune telling not because I'm a Christian. The probability of predicting the future through fortune telling might only be less than tenths. Things that would happen might only just be coincidental. I just remembered this rumor about a good fortuneteller who said that there was going to be a strong earthquake in the Philippines given at an exact date. The problem is: It didn't really happen. XD

Sometimes I believe it. When my friends said they went to see the fortuneteller who told something about themselves was true, they have to believe it.I thought very interesting. At that time, I wanted to try it. howe'er when I read the science books, my intellect was comeback. I didn't believe again. So I'm a paradoxical person.
