People who are "preachy"

There are some people who are knowledgeable about a lot of things they can preach you different topics and they excels on that. I really don't mind being preach upon as long the preacher is good and making sense because if he is not then I will be irritated to no end. The preachy type of people were superior in many ways. Both in the intelligent department. But i don't have respect for those people who only preach just to make an impression or just to elevate their status. Those type of people are self centered and egoistic. Better to ignore them.

Life has both good and bad. Over the years one learns to take the good the bad, the not so good and the not so bad within ones stride. Also, everyone has a right to one's opinion, however skewed or at a tangent that maybe with the main thread of the debate. When I come across people as those mentioned in your discussion, if they continue piling it on, then after a limit I just close my mind and start thinking about other things, then at a point suddenly remember a chore I have to do and vamoose without trying to ruffle any feathers of the 'preacher'. (Gosh, It's difficult not to write naturally - I was intentionally trying to be preachy here)......... Am I making sense here to you....? No offense intended.
