What is stress?

about two years ago, we talked about stress and its effect to our lives. however, it's just these times when i realized how to handle well stress and live along with stressors of life. i know all of us experiences stress. and to help us better understand this stress, i want to share this article to you. Stress may be considered as any physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental unrest and that may be a factor in disease causation. Physical and chemical factors that can cause stress include trauma, infections, toxins, illnesses, and injuries of any sort. Emotional causes of stress and tension are numerous and varied. While many people associate the term "stress" with psychological stress, scientists and physicians use this term to denote any force that impairs the stability and balance of bodily functions. If stress disrupts body balance and function, then is all stress bad? Not necessarily. A mild degree of stress and tension can sometimes be beneficial. For example, feeling mildly stressed when carrying out a project or assignment often compels us to do a good job, focus better, and work energetically. Likewise, exercising can produce a temporary stress on some body functions, but its health benefits are indisputable. It is only when stress is overwhelming, or poorly managed, that its negative effects appear. An important goal for those under stress is the management of life stresses. Elimination of stress is unrealistic, since stress is a part of normal life. It's impossible to completely eliminate stress, and it would not be advisable to do so. Instead, we can learn to manage stress so that we have control over our stress and its effects on our physical and mental health. now that we learned enough about stress, i hope we can find our own coping mechanisms to manage stress.

We have no stress when we were kid,now we have it because we have been working already.For someone the stress is bad,they would be ill by stress,they have a tensity,and don't know how to deal with it.But another people like stress,it makes their have a power of going forward,they can deal with the stress well and can control the stress.Now i have a little of stress,but i think i can deal with it well.

yeah, definitely i agree to what you said. we are under stress because as we grow we work harder and we got lot of things to manage. but you know what, even babies have their own stress problems too. even the newborn has it. during delivery of mother, the baby experiences fetal distress specially if the mother doesnt know how to do it th right way in delivering the newborn. but nonetheless, all of us has this capacity to cope up. i hope all of us are coping up! happy posting..

yes, i hope so! every one of us has our own coping mechanisms, so we are so positive about handling stress. we can find ways to manage stress and how to eliminate it. if we are able to eliminate our stressors, then it would be a great way to decrease possibility of stress. happy posting!

Most time, its my work..with ontime deliveries and work loads. I try to divert mind on music and i feel better. We need to manage stress, as it is part of life in busy world. But if we concentrate, we can manage it. I does it through my yoga, listening music and going out on vacation.
