Ignore Your Needs?

In these present time of crisis, the never ending oil price hike, soaring prices of basic and not so basic commodities, etc., employees remain to receive insufficient income to cope with. There are lots of things we wanted to buy, small things so the need to have it is minimal. Still wanted to have because we need it, but all because of the crisis, remains wanted, and just ignore it. Maybe later, when there's excess money. I have some personal needs. And still remains wanted. I want to have a new pair of socks, a new belt, a new set of undies. But not at this time, I just wait for some extra cash to come in. I thought, maybe, I am not alone here. And you may share your disappointments here. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

I've always sacrifice my own needs. Even when my husband was still here. I have to do it for my kids. They are my priorities right now and you know that best. Though my husband is working abroad and earning dollars, still, it isn't enough for us. So, instead of buying a new sandals or shoes for me (which is my weakness), I'd rather buy foods or what my kids needs. But if I have extra money, I do buy one but I'd see to it that it's cheap. LOL. My motto "whatever makes my kids happy, I will be happy too." Keep posting! HUGZ!

Oh yes my best, who will feel much happier to see our own kids happy? Of course we have to prioritize them, but things worsen some times if I see me poorer than them. I am supposed to look better than what I am now. I have 2 jobs to think about it and still working some pennies from mylot. I just wish that by the end of the year, I have much money in my paypal so I can buy some for myself. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

I understand your point. I myself have lots of needs that was hard to get and I don't even know when will I be able to get those. Just like you most of those were just small things that becomes wants but as parents I always set it aside in order to give my child her needs. I even remember the last time I bought something for myself upon reading this and my it was almost a year now. Of course aside from food. Well still, we should be thankful cause we still have what some of our needs unlike others.

As a mother...with or without crisis I get to ignore some of my needs. You might say it's overreacting or martyr but i worry too much when i don't have savings for emergency purposes. For me extra means.....having to pay all the bills, enough for foods, health, school and some thing for emergency,if there's some more left...that's the extra.Right now i have to sacrifice having my pedicure, manicure and hair cut.I can do the first two by myself...even if it's all bloody and achy. The haircut can wait.

It happens to me too. I actually need a new pair of rubber shoes now because water seems to enter already from it soles Sadly I don't have extra cash yet. Also I need new magic props because some of my props are getting over used from practice already that I might fail a performance if I used a performance. Oh well maybe If mylot pays me a lot then maybe I could buy that new shoes or some new props. Well better keep on posting here

We really have almost the same feelings with regards to our needs. Well my friend, this only means that we really have to do more and more hard work here on mylot. I guess not only on mylot but also with our original or regular job we are in now. (red star 91 @ 1420)

Beside the economic constrain in my county in africa, life must continue we had to adjust with my wife to get rid of the wanted things like new clothes, shoes, jewelery frequent hair dressing and others. And we worked on basic needs like buying a gas, food, paying fees for the kids, helping the needy because every morning they come to my place asking to be supported in giving them food.

I think this is the approach that many people need to take. We have always waited until we had the funds to buy things we needed and only have one credit card with a very small limit. American has become credit-dependent by living beyond their means and they're going to have to make the change to cash only before they will see anything better.

I have a lot of disappointment in what is happening today but since we are living and we need food and other comodities for us to continue existing we had been left no choice but to adhere with the changes and the insufficiency we are suffering. Sometimes when I try to think about the problems it made me feel worse, weak and defeated. Huh, I have learned to set aside things that I needed to go for the most wanted one. Its really hard to live life in our case but we do not have a choice but to work hard, maybe someday if we continue working hard we will be uplifted. Goodluck and cheers!!

Hi Neil, Yes,life is very hard for everyone even here in the U.K things are so expensive we have really save for what we want so unless thing changes we just have to work harder fro the things we need. Tamara
