Yeah.... it will be probably the hardiest discussion on myLot. So the question is... do you believe in GOD or some GODS, or not? I Believe in MEN. I think that MEN can create everything and destroy everything. MEN can do EVERYTHING! But I'm sure that someone will not agree! :D You Agree?

Hi. I'm a Muslim and I believe in God. I believe man can do anything but within their capability and by the Will of God. There's a certain limitations to what a man can do but the potential of a man is immeasurable. =) Cheers

As there is no god I have to say it is mankind that I believe in. I think nature gave us the tools to work with and mankind works with those tools to make the world what it is today. I think without religion we would have no wars. Life would be much simpler and progress would be much further ahead. But alas people seem to need something to believe in and pray to and curse when things go wrong.

To me, call it nature, God, the powers that be, Goddess, or any number of other names, God is merely a word to describe it. Religion (an organized group of people who 'believe' the same things), and Spirituality (one's relationship to nature, the divine, the universe, or whatever)are totally different things. You can be religious and have no spirituality, and you can have spirituality and not be religious. I agree that most wars would not be of not for religion, but I have seen nothing yet to prove that there is no 'God,' to me, nature is another word for God. I think that there must be a power greater than we are to have made nature, I mean it all had to come from somewhere. To me God is only a word, but it is a word that I think everyone has a different take on. To me, there is more evidence that there is some kind of "god," whether it is a collective consciousness, the whole of which we are a part, or Nature, than evidence to the contrary. Of course I respect everyone's beliefs and opinions:) Just sharing mine...

Hello dear RP. I agree with you that man can do everything. Man can master their own fate, which is true indeed.

I think men can do all those things, and an do anything that can be imagined. Look at our achievements in a few hundered years. But the real question would be has God given man the ability to do these things...and therefore is God responsible for the actions and results ultimately?

I think that God was really "good" as someone says don't give the opportunity to the people to do "bad"! Thanks for your answer ;)

i totally disagree because o f the simple fact that god created men and man would not be able to create anything with out god honestly we breath and live through one person so think about if it wasnt for him we wouldn be able to do anything and he created this earth for man to use what he created

it depends how you see Gods really. do you see them as bearded blokies sat on a cloud listening to harp music, or as the raw creative and destructive forces of nature, which drive humankind to create and destroy. what makes a living animal more than a biological machine? the surge of energy that pushes a dormant seed to germinate, the same surge of energy that drives animals and man alike to breed. that is the true face of deity, both a part of us and apart from us.
