So, do you think C.M Punk's reign as World Champion is going to be like.....

...Rey Mysterio's, in which he gets booked as looking not at all credible and that he shouldn't have been World Champion in the first place? I ask because of the results I read about from last night's GAB. The match was a double disqualification and afterwards both Kane and Batista laid out Punk. Why couldn't they have Punk gone over Batista cleanly? Then, after the match, Kane beats the crap out of Batista and Punk makes the save. Is Batista's ego that big? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Kane fan and would love to see him booked credibly and beat the crap out of Batista. Still, WWE needs to look to guys like Punk to carry the company in the future. By the way, are any of the matches up on youtube yet?

i think wwe is testing the waters with punk. mysterio's title reign wasn't as successful becasue face it, he lacked the size to match-up against the bigger superstars of wwe. i don't see mysterio cleanly pinning the likes of triple h, batista, or the big show. i think this storyline goes on to a batista-kane match-up at summer slam. i agree with you that kane should beat up batista and set him on fire but will the majority of wwe fans like that? i don't know but it really is tiring to see batista on top. i think batista can give way to other superstars like what triple h did to him in wrestlemania and backlash and he start by getting beat up by kane. now going up to punk, i think he should go up against wrestlers which is more of his size. i'm talking of hbk, cena, jericho, kofi kingston, and maybe even against mysterio. i think that will make for more (for a lack of a better word) "believable" matches. just my two cents.

If Kane set Batista on fire, I could see a mixed reaction. Kane has a huge fan base and people appreciate his work ethic and Batista has his fans, too. I agree with you. Batista constantly in the title hunt or world champion is tiring and it wouldn't hurt him one bit to put over younger superstars.

I like CM Punk, but I find it hard seeing him as the Champ on RAW. The kid has some skills but not enough to be graced with that belt. In a land of giants, I always find it hard to watch a small guy as the champ. One can only buy the little guy beating the bigs so much. He is more suited for the IC belt. That I will give him hands down.
