Today i am late for work. and my boss warned me about that. The strange thing is i know being late is by no means right but being critisized is another thing. I do admit what the boss said makes sense but at heart i wished she could have talked to me in a tenderer and soften way so that i can accept that naturally. I would rather self-critisize than being reprimanded by others. In nature, it is a question of pride maybe. So are u brave enough to admit ur fault in front of people?

Hi there gabbana! Sometimes, we can't help but get hurt by how our superiors treat us when we commit mistakes. We can't blame them. It's but normal for these things to happen in the workplace. However, there is a proper way of reprimanding erring subordinates. Personally, I do not find it hard to admit my mistakes or my faults. When I do something wrong, I admit it and accept the consequences. But there were times when I was blamed for something that I did not do. That of course is a different story. I go the distance to fight for something that is worth fighting for like defending myself when blamed for something I did not do.

hello! If I were in your situation, I would also have expected my boss to treat me tenderly. It's hard to swallow criticism not tenderly given. Whether or not you are at fault, being embarrassed in front of others is also wrong. I'm brave enough to admit my fault in front of people I trust and respect and those people who love me.

Thank u for ur response. Actually, i tend to check my own fault in private. and i have never realized how hard it is to accept the correct critisim until i'm criticized by my boss. i do criticize people a lot than i praise and encourage them. i say something harsh only for the good sake of them, i hope to help people improve and solve their problems. But, from today's lesson, i realized that it is indeed hard to accept the truth even it is a correct one and beneficial to us.

If I am really at fault then I would be humble enough to admit. After all there is dignity in humility. But as you said being reprimanded is another thing because there is a much better way to do it. We can always call the attention of the person at fault without necessary hurting or embarrassing him. Because if there is embarrassment involved resentment will follow and that will ruin relationship.
