closet food... huh???

nah my discussion is not about gay food LOL... did i got you there? kidding aside, i was asking my hubby what word i can use but he forgot it so i just made this thing up and not intended to upset someone. so let's talk about food here... after cleaning our cabinets today i realized that there are some few can goods that we often used. we have the following "often" used can goods and other goods at home: green beans corn chilli beans (medium and hot) mushroom soup diced tomatoes tomato paste canned fruits instant noodle soup vegetable juice now if you ransack our fridge/freezer you will always see the following: *cooked Chilli beef wonton (i made them coz i like to add them to instant noodle soup) pasta sauce chicken noodle soup (i made them too from scratch then freeze it haha!) *other cheese milk juices (lemonade and fruit punch) coke (my hubby's silent crave LOL) ketchup (lots of 'em) mustard A1 pickles butter cookie dough hotdog vegetables fruits chocolates potato chips french onion dip *frozen (no pork coz i dont eat 'em) beef chicken fish frozen buns cheese pizza meat balls burger patty ice cream (very very important LOL) this are the common often used at home, we have others but i feel they dont really belong to the word "often use". we always have chilli at home coz he can eat it as a soup or just have a plain chilli hotdog, i can also make nachos from it so it is very useful to us, very easy to prepare and last a long time specially if you freeze it. same goes with pasta sauce. i love to cook and i like the fact that i dont have to worry that i am missing an ingredient when i want to make something up. i guess i have that belief like my hubby who would rather have extra than miss one or more. we dont have much going on at home coz we are just two and a dog, i cant imagine a big family having lots of list whenever they go to grocery. anyway, what is your common food at home? do you like to cook extra and freeze them? takecare
