Hey everyone hope your day is going well. My friends and I are planning a trip to chicago for december. I know it is early still but hotel rooms down in chicago go pretty fast. I was wanting to know if anyone on here has been to chicago and could possibly tell me about some hotels that they have stayed at and which they would recommend. Also, if anyone has any ideas or attractions in chicago that are worth seeing that would also help. Or if anyone has any suggestions on traveling or chicago in general that would be great. Thanks/

I forgot the Lincoln Park Zoo. It is one of the only free zoos in the country and it was totally awesome. Go eat at Bubba Gumps at Navy Pier, too, and try the strawberry lemonade.

The chicago tribune building was really cool on the outside. It has stones and pieces of buildings and locations from all over the world. You can actually touch a piece of the pyramids and such. Awesome if you have kids. Its something that we stubbled across on accident. It just happened to be right in the middle of everything. All the different ethnic sectors are cool. Little India was awesome. Beware of panhandlers near train stations. If you plan on taking the train you can get a really cheap visitors pass from the chicago mass transit website. You can order in advance and its still good for like a year I think. Sears tower rocked. I got some great photos there. Navy Pier and the stained glass exhibit are nice if your into that sorta thing and if the stained glass is still there.

Been there a few times. I went a few years ago with a group of 39 junior high students. You must go to the following places: Sears Tower Navy Pier Shedd Aquarium Field Museum Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue where all the shopping is) Midevil Times (It is outside of Chicago, but it is a place where you have a Renaissance type meal with real jousting, etc.) Willow Creek Community Church (this is a huge Christian church whose campus is bigger than many colleges. Very neat experience)
