Inconsiderate people irritate me

Why are people so inconsiderate to others? Sometimes I think that people walk around thinking that they are the only ones who exist. You walk around in malls and people will not make room for somoeone else to pass by. Some will be talking on their cell phones and all of a sudden turn around, reversing direction and almost crashing into you. No apology forthcoming as they keep talking in the phone that is stuck to their ear. And today I was reminded of another irritant. I am walking in light rain on the sidewalk. Two people are coming towards me, one with an umbrella. They are walking side by side. Do you think that they woould fall into single file so that we could all stay on the sidewalk? Noooo.... It was only at the last instant when it was obvious that I was not going to give ground that the woman crowded her man so that we could pass without bumping into each other. What is it with people????

Huh? I am walking on my side of the sidewalk and I need to set the example for others? What am I supposed to do - go out in the traffic on the street and get run over?

Canada. But this is not a problem only in Canada. Italy was one of the worst places I ever encounterred this. I think it has more to do in the size of the city you are in. Right now I am inn Toronto; a bigger problem here than in the smaller community I am normally from.

I think that we are turning into a society where the people really dont care about others feelings. And u are right people are starting to become more and more inconsiderate not just towards others, but towards themselves as well. Its a shame if you ask me. I can just imagine how u felt walking down that sidewalk. Like you i would not have nmoved over either. I mean i am the type of person that looks at the feeling of others before i do my own. But at times, people will push where you can no longer try to have this trait about you. I have gotten where now, people are going to be who they are whenever they are at whatever time. Despite how it makes you feel, or if it puts you out or not.

I just hope that by not giving in to other people rudeness, they realize their error and change their ways. Probably too much of an optimist but we have to hold onto something.
