If you know how to do the cable stitch, how long did it take you to master it. I saw a video on youtube, and I have spent several hours working it. I think it is a very challenging stitch. I was able to make a dishcloth, but I would like to use it on my hats in the near future. What's your experience with this stitch?

Yes I can cable stitch, and the art of it is to be able to hold onto the smaller third needle, once you get going its fine, and as you become more experienced its easier to see if you have made a mistake somewhere.I have done a lot of Aran work in the years gone by ,and yes it is challenging, but its interesting to work and keeps you fully occupied.

For knitting a cable stitch go to www.wikihow.com/knit-a-cable-stitch.....it looks really easy to follow.... for crochetting go to the same website and just look for the crochetting one. I hope I was able to help you!

Thanks a million, I love the website. I could not find the cable stitch, but that's okay. I watch the video again, and I have a free weekend so I am going to practice the stitch.

Crochetting right? I'm in the middle of cooking dinner right now so I can't go through my books but let me look that stitch up for you and if I have it I'll type it up for you on here. I'll be back soon to let you know.
