Hi! Welcome to myLot. Im sorry Im not really a cook(all I know is to boil an egg and fry some fish and other meats) and I actually didnt know that there are some fancy dishes of chicken feet! The only way of cooking chicken feet I know are the ones that are grilled outside and are commonly sold at stands on the street corners. I kinda forgot the laymans term for chicken feet here.LOL But yeah I didnt think Id try one myself. It kinda puzzled me what part are we supposed to eat because there are only a few strips of real meat and the rest are skin and bones and I do know that people like to munch on the knuckles. I just dont get it but I did try it out. It just tastes like any other part of the chicken and resembles the taste of the neck. Thanks for this post. Learned something again in myLot.^_^

Oh! The grilled chicken feet I mentioned was nothing fancy. Its just grilled on a small grill alongside barbecue, hotdogs, chicken intestines, on a stick.LOL hmm, you're description of these kinds of chicken feet dishes makes me hungry.^_^ Ill be sure to lookout for that dish when we get to a good restaurant.^_^

chingbeem sorry but you are grossing me out. I used to live on a farm. haveyou ever seen chickens walk in their own pooh? How can you even think of eating something so unsanitary? Furthermore there could not 'be over a bite or two of meat, the rest is skin and bone or tendon. Yuck is all that I can say. I dont eat cows brains either or chicken livers or chicken feet or eggs with baby chicksin them. gross out time.

I used to think the same. The poultry farm where the chickens are raised are very,I may say...ah,of the latest technology. feeders go up and down, chickens move form one compartment to another. This goes on and on,non stop for cleaning,disinfecting...etc,etc.The bureau of food and the department of health will not allow unsanitary poultry farms. I just found out through the net that, chicken feet to become fluffy soft, must be scalled.deep fried.stewed.and steamed in dimsum trays.goodness, and it takes me a single minute to eat lots of them.I salute our chinesse brethren.
