Why Starting Discussions Were Not Counted as a Point?

Every time I start a discussion, I do not get a point counted. I do not understand how it works. It would be great if you can help me to understand how myLot works. I am pretty new in this but writing is not new for me. I am looking forward to have fun and earn money.
Two of my discussion have no responses. What is your best suggestion to start a good discussion with people able to response.

I'm pretty sure a discussion started gets you a point. Might be something wrong with the addition of points to your account.
To get more responses, the topic should be catchy with interesting content. Having a fair few friends on your list also helps.
