I would like to visit Goa to spend my holidays on a sea beach. I have been to Goa twice an I have found that some of beaches are really marvellous. Once you are on the beach, you keep enjoying there and you do not feel like coming out of it. Though, during afternoon hours say between 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., it becomes difficult to bear the sun, otherwise for rest of the days, it is great fun playing with the never ending waves and indulge in bathing at the sea shore. In Delhi, we do not have any beach like atmosphere, so whenever there are holidays, I feel like going towards a beach for a refreshing change.

Goa - in the rains - wow - that is really tempting me to go there just now. I have been to Goa twice and have really enjoyed myself there. Have never been to Delhi but I know that is is a very busy city. And a beach would be very refreshing for you.

@mayka123 It is more than ten years old discussion. Over the years I have seen many beaches and every time I visit a beach, I do not feel like coming back. Gopalpur (Orissa), Kovalam (Kerala), Puri (Orissa), Basant Nagar in Chennai are few beaches which I enjoyed very much.

@dpk262006 If the beaches are not too crowded it's a good place to relax. I too very often plan vacations near beaches.

My idea of spending a week at the beach is going down the beach everyday for a couple of hours and playing in the ocean while collecting seashells, and also each day going to the nearest pool and swimming,I would also spend one day where I would visit the shops and do some shopping for some stuff to take back, and if I had time visiting the amusement park if there is one or hitting the local putt putt course.

I'd like to build a sand castle! When I was young, I did not experience going to the beach often. I remember that I only had 1 or two trips to a beach. I'd like to experience making one, although how on earth do they come up with such neat castles out of sand?! LoL. I'm curious. And if I do have the chance, I'll probably enjoy it. Then swimming with close friends or my family or having pleasant conversations overnight would be really great. I'd spend the whole week doing the same things! LoL.

I like to spend time with my friends in beaches. Every time i go to beaches, i deflate my football and keep with me. When i reach there i inflate my ball and starts playing. I love to play football in beaches. Last year we went to Goa for 3 day tour.

Hey, I think Mumbai's beaches are quite safe for you to go alone and build your sand castles during the day. And remove some pics of those if possible and post it here for us. If you want to plan a party for me on a beach in Mumbai then I would be happy to join you. In fact you can call all the Mumbai mylotters for the party and to help you build your castle.

i have never been on a holiday at the beach. i fear i don't know what to do with myself. however, if ever i go on a holiday at the beach, i definitely will not bring any of my gadgets there. these include my mobile phone, my laptop and even my ipod touch. i want to enjoy nature is it's glory and with none of those to distract me. i think i will bring a few good books and relax by the beach. maybe i'll go island hopping and explore the flora and fauna. i might even try out diving if i pluck up enough courage. cheers ;p

I think when you go to the beach you should just enjoy nature and forget about all gadgets except the camera. That is a must especially on your first visit. I have been going to beaches regularly since childhood but had never plucked the courage to go deep into the sea. So I could just forget about diving.

I love the beach and so my week would be relaxing in the sun and spending time in the ocean....maybe walking the beach at nite. I'd be on the beach as much as possible. I'd be prepared with some good books, plenty of snacks and drinks...it'd be total rest and relaxation.

My house is near a beach. its just a kilometer away from the beach.
but i don't go there regularly.
lot of tourists from all part of the world come there.
As our beach is getting popular, lot of resorts have come up and its too expensive to have stay there and food.
I like getting in to water in the beach even though i don't know how to swim. so i don't go too deep in to the sea.

this is going to be soooooooooooooo fun!lol, I like beaches, I like swimming, [though I don't swim and I'm actually afraid of water] but I don't mind, I still love the beach. I would be lying all day under the tree, or with a sling bed, or is that what we call it.lol..then I'll sleep, read books, or swim once in a while then eat, then just have all the time of my life..oh if only.

I would go to a tropical beach on an island. It would be a white sandy beach with gently waving palm trees and a blue ocean with a coral reef nearby. On my first day I would have a swim in the warm ocean then have a picnic on the beach. Later that day I would walk around the island and lastly I would watch the sunset. On the second day I would go snorkeling hoping to see colorful coral and friendly fish. On the third day I would sit on the beach reading my book and in the afternoon I would write some postcards to my friends and family. On the fourth day I would go on a boat trip that visited different islands and watched some wildlife. On my fifth day I would meet up with a few other guests and go for a walk and later a swim. On my sixth day I would have my first go at diving on a discover scuba session on the sea. On my last day I would take one last walk along the beach before catching a bus to my next destination.

My idea of spending a weeek in the beach is go
swimming in the morning. Reading my favorite book
in the afternoon under the shade of the coconut tree.
Have fun in the bar meeting new faces.

It depends. If we go to our local beach for the day, we just have a paddle or snorkel and a nice lunch. But if we actually go away - up to Queensland for a couple of weeks - we go to the aquarium or out to the reef or maybe to a theme park ... as well as shopping and sitting on the beach.

I always liked the beach. It has a serenity about it. I would like to walk in the sand of course and glide along the waves on the ocean. I haven't been there in so long and it sounds like a great vacation idea. It's nice to see on a beautiful day. It would also be nice to take my son, I think he would enjoy. That was a nice question you posted. Thank you.
