Your favourite sound of summer

Well it seems that summer has at long last decided to show its face here in the United kingdom...its a special time,it usually makes people feel better because they can freely go out and about.Hve you a favourite sound of summer?..the birds singing?the kids fighting?!!..barbecues sizzling?..what is your favourite sound?

I know and hasn't it been a fairly fantastic week! I don't know about the sounds of summer but the smells are what I love. It just smells so different when the suns been out and I am not on about the smell of baking dog poo either LOL.
I think the smell of barbeques and the trees and cut grass are all lovely.

I think my favorite sounnd is a combination of all that
you mentioned. It's the sound of people in my neighborhood
just being outside having fun. It's the time when neighbors
get to see each other, sit outside, feel the summer nights
breeze, watch the stars in the summer sky. I just love the
smells of the grass especially after a nice summer rain.
There's just this feeling of excitement that is in the air,
sort of like electricity!

The grass when it has first been mown is lovely,the smell is heaven..and at the moment we are lucky enough tohave sweet peas blooming all over the place so the perfume is heady too.Its the most gorgeous scen!!The combination of ther barbecues ,the families outside,the barbecues,the bouncers on the trampolines,the smiling faces,and the scents from the gardens are just amazing.We have just had a brochure come through the door for autumn plug plants,I know we wall have to forward plan a bit,but it seem such a shame to think of Autumn when we are just starting to enjoy our summer here i nthe UK.

The bird songs are wonderful!!there has been a lot written about the blackbird lately,and how it can imitate the sounds of things when it sings.Well my Mum is a bird freak lol and she kepton saying that there was a blackbird that was mimicking her telephone,and I thought omg lol she is going a tad funny!!but then I read a few items in the news about the blackbirds song and that they do tend to impersonate sounds that they hear,and also lol they aer very adept at it!!so she was quite right.But the bird song can be lovely,if you wake up early morning and they are all chirrupping there is nothing quite like it!
