Taiwan product "acer"

what do you think about the Taiwan product of acer? is it really good.. once i heard that acer isn't a branded product.. but i am using an acer computer, i didn't find anything wrong with my computer. my friend has a dell computer which is made in usa as i know. but my acer computer is also working as his dell computer.. if you have any idea about these products and differences between these products, please answer...

I have an Acer laptop & also 17" LCD monitor. I sell Acer products as well. In fact, Acer is the No.1 seller for laptops in our country Malaysia, Dell is still No.2. Acer computer / IT products are No.3 in world ranking today. I guess at the end of the day it's still personal brand preference & budget as well. But like what you're trying to imply - why pay more when you can get the same quality?

Comrade zweeb82, mind PM-ing me with a list of good Acer laptops, say...under RM 3K or so?
I know the PC Fair's coming, but I want to get one of my younger brothers a good deal way before then. Y'see, he's currently using my laptop for his assignments, but he's saved up a small nest egg from his job that he plans on using.
Compuzone of Low Yat Plaza has a decent listing on the Acer 4920G, but perhaps you might have something better. Do get in touch with me this week, won't you? ^_^;;

I've heard good things about Acer. They sell them now in the all the major electronic stores near me. I've personally never tried Acer but I have tried Dell. I didn't have such a good experiance with Dell computers. The hard drive went on my Dell computer after only a year! They told me they couldnt help me too :( I have heard much better things about Acer.

so i think acer is also good.. but some people believe that dell is better than acer. maybe because of acer is low price than dell..
