i know that i use to think that i could survive without a cell phone but i don't know that i can now because of how the world is today...i know that there are things out there that require you to have a cell phone, like for business purposes and things like that and other things like if your car breaks down or if you need something and don't have a pay phone around, so i would honestly say i don't know if i could survive without my cell phone or not to be honest...i mean i use it everyday and it keeps me in touch a lot with a lot of people...so do you think that you could survive without your cell phone or do you think that you would be able to survive without a cell phone? thanks for taking the time to read my discussion and i hope that you all have a great night!

It really depends on what people do which determines if having a mobile phone is a necessity or not. If what they do doesn't really need anything of that kind of item, they most probably survive without a mobile phone. Like the people that they have to keep in touch with are readily available and not that distant to reach. If what they do requires communication which needs to be instant and convenient, then they need mobile phones though, they can still survive but, it would be more inconvenient for their part since mobile phones grant easy communication with others who also use mobile phones, else they'd use land lines which makes it a little bit convenient again.. As for me, I can still survive without mobile phones. There always other means for others to keep in touch with me and mobile phones are just among the way.

I can live without cell phone. I started using cell phone a couple of years before. So its not a problem for me and I am not addicted to cell phones.

I totally cannot survive without a cell phone even in a day. I experienced this for a few times that I forgot to bring my cell phone to work. I found it was hard to contact with people,I had to search for public phone to contact my boyfriend. It was difficult to live without a cell phone. I could never forget to bring my cell phone again. After that incidents, I will always remind myself to bring cell phone with me where ever I go.

Well I got two cell phones, but one's working while the other ran out of airtime. I use the second for PDA-like purposes, but I need the first just in case i'm stranded. I ride the bus though, and I got stranded because I missed the final bus last Thursday. Without my cell phone that helped put my dominating dad away, I would've been stuck without a ride, or I would've paid a hell of a lot for a taxi to take me home. So at this rate, I still need my cell phone. I never leave home without it.

i think so, but i would prefer to have one handy. it's just so convenient when you have one. you're friends and family members can reach you anytime, anywhere. and it is really useful especially during emergencies. i can live without a cellphone of course. i mean, i can survive a day without it with me. but if i have a choice, i'd rather get one on hand.

Theres no question about it,I would easily cope without a cell/mobile phone,it drives me nutty when you see people with them stuck to their ears like they were glued to them!!I only use mine for calls or text messages that I have to make, otherwise I dont use it at all!it must be very costly to keep using one, though I do believe they do some good contract phones that have good packages with them. They do so many minutes and so many texts for so much per month.I have friends who only have mobiles and dont use a landline at all,and they say that it works out cheaper than the landline phone! But its just the fact that you are always available that would drive me mad!!no matter where you are there is someone who can contact you,so you are in demand so to speak twenty four seven,

I could physically live without my cell phone, but I would be a little uneasy and struggle as I use it as a calendar and memo as well as a method of contacting people, which I do frequently. I suppose I could use other phones, such as a house phone or a pay phone, but I think that that would cost me more and would definitely be more impractical.

Yes, I certainly could survive without a cell phone. Sometimes I really wish they had never been invented. I'm so tired of hearing the conversations of peopple at the grocery, in line at the bank, in the doctor's office, even in the hospital emergency room! Please people, take your conversations somewhere where the rest of us don't have to hear. I use mine mostly to have for emergencies. If I didn't have it, I'd just put a cheap CB radio back in the car.

I cant imagine what my life will be like without my mobile... Its become part of my life and its there to the rescue most of the time as i can now get interent on it to get information where and when i want it, it helps in emergencies and its essential information storing device.. it acts as a music player when i am stuck somewhere and am bored.. its my alarm... i cant think of life without it!

Definitely i can survive without cellphone. I think it is just a matter of adjusting. At first it will be difficult because your system are used to it but eventually when you get use to live without you definitely forget about it. It is true that today because of the fast pace environment cellphone is very important but it is just a matter of accepting things as it is when it is gone besides we can always find ways to communicate without it.

I used to think I couldn't but I definately can survive without my cell. phone... I chose not to for the convinience issues... And I've had cell. phone since I was 18 years old, which I've been carrying a cell. phone for about 20 years now... If I HAVE TO give it up tomorrow, I'd give it up without a second thought... Cell. phone being my only source of comunication, I'd figure out a way to stay in touch with people I do...

Hi jh1903, In this day and age you do need a cellphone for emergency, I will survive not having a cellphone because I've had one before but I only had to have because my boss needed to contact me and no that I'm no longer workng I don't need one. Tamara

I don't think so.I've had mobile phones half of my life and they are my lifeline to my loved ones and friends. It is very convenient to have because being able to communicate eases worries and relieves us from depression.A simple message can work wonders.
