My son is 2 1/2 yrs old. He snores a lot. I mean, when he's asleep he snores most of the times. As if, he's like he's father. It's really loud. Some say, it's not good for toddlers. Is there any way to prevent my son's snoring?

i have a two and a half son too. his pictures appears as my avatar. most people tell us that my son looks like me and i am soooooooo proud of him. we also hear our son snores and my wife always laugh at him because she said he snores like me. he even farts loud like me har har har. well i am the father so it is natural that he gets some traits from me. i am proud of him. i think if he snores too loud and you are bothered then why not ask a doctor of your sons situation. better to treat it earlier

My husband claims that he looks like my son as well, lol! And, he said that even my son's snoring is from him... i admit that he really snores loud but I don't think that is something hereditary. I'll seek medical advice if the snoring gets worst.

Hi marc, I have no idea really, this is the first time I've heard a toddler who snores! How about adding his pillow? I'm not either sure, maybe you need to consult a doctor for medical advises! or I wish anyone here have the same experience with their kids and can give you effective tips!

Have you talked to your doctor about it? I've had to take my kids to an ear nose and throat specialist because one needed tubes in her ears and one has allergies. one question the asked for both was if they snore at night. i'm not sure exactly what snoring would be a sign of, but maybe you should have it checked out.

No, I haven't visited a doctor. And, based on your information, I think I really need to go to the doctor. Thanks for the response.

The best advise i can give you is consult a pediatrician. They have more knowledge about this kind of thing. There's only one thing I'm sure, toddlers on his age doesn't snore like that. Don't panic yet, I might be wrong.

Yeah, I know toddlers should not snore like my baby does. That's why I am worried. He wasn't like that before and when he does it's very minimal. But, these days it's very loud. The thing is, he's gain weight. He looks bigger in his age.
