When you first started your job, did it wear you out?

On your first several days, or week, or weeks, did you come home dragging your feet? What did you do to relieve that tiredness? Did you do anything during the day to prevent being worn out before you got home? I only go to my job every other weekend, because that is the only hours that he can give me. With finding jobs being difficult in the city, I am taking what I can get. I work half a day on Saturday, and usually it is so fast-paced that I am dead by the time we clock out. And then, I have to go back later in the day to let the dogs back out and feed them. I love my job, but at the moment, it wears me out. And, with the huge gaps between my work days, I don't seem to have enough time to adjust. What about you?

I had been a stay at home dad for 10 years when I started my latest job. I work in a warehouse and it is very physical with a lot of heavy lifting etc. My first 2 weeks on the job were hell and I slept more than I was awake and had a number of nagging aches and pains, but slowly that all went away and I ended up dropping 25lbs in fairly quick order.....I save a fortune on gym fees this way...LOL

That is a tough transition, although kids themselves can be a bit of a handful! I can imagine that your legs and arms hurt quite a bit for a while, like they do when people just start weightlifting. I am glad that you got used to it, and that it has its benefits that way. I hope you like your job, and thank you for responding.
