Tell me something good!

Hello stranger, how are you? Something good ah? OK, well my kids broke up from school a week ago for the summer holidays and so far the first week has been great. With the start of their holidays the weather seemed to change from cold, wet and miserable to beautiful, hot and sunny! We have been eating our meals in the garden and have even had a barbeque. On friday just gone, my hubbys place of work went on its shut down for three weeks so the whole family is together at home!

Well here is some good news, my taxes came so I can pay my rent, I started a new job, which will soon, hopefully bring me a better income, but with training and such I am having a hard times seeing it(lol) But it will come, it is a very nice restraunt.Anyway my taxes appeared yesterday to save the day, wooohooo what a relief. Then I was checking my money situation out, I looked in this coffee tin and I found 100.00 wwwwoooohoooo again. Life is indeed good, myself I am having a great day.

Welcome back I have missed you! But knew you were busy with your writtings. All I can say Is I get up every day and have fun in the pool good for me huh?

Okay. I met a myLot friend this afternoon. My wife and daughter came along also as this friend is also a friend of my daughters here. My daughter is finally gic=ving us a granddaughter in September. My garden is thriving. And most importantly, I am sober and clean today. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

hi winterose well this is not too exciting except to me as I have been really struggling withthe pain zapping of shingles for severl months now and finally my doctor has put me on a new medication for a whole month and the zapping pain is finally begining to really slack off so by the middle of August maybe I will finally be rid of it completely. when I was first diagnosed with shingles the er doctor told me itwould take three weeks, and three weeks went by and no relief, so I went to my own doctor and he put me on more aclovir for a week.a week wentby no better so he put me on more aclovir for ten days. so finally after two weeks I went back and he has me on a new medication and this time it really seems to be working hurray hurray.

Well, i have a few good things happening in my life at the moment; in 2 days, i'll be on a much needed vacation, during which time we will go spend a few days at my mom's up north, which is a good thing in itself, considering we dont see each other often, cuz she lives far. Then, we found out this week that our 6 months old son's heart murmur has diminished in size and should close all by itself within the next year, thus not needing an operation, which made us very relieved and happy. And our son is a good thing himself! He's starting to sit up now, every morning, i sit him on his floor carpets and he watches a bit of cartoons and plays with his toys...he is so adorable!

Hubby will start a new job this week. He has been out of work for a few weeks.

Hi winterose, Wow! that is great! Lots of hard work there and perseverance! Good job! Well for me, just a simple routine here with my husband, harvesting vegetable from our garden, cooking and eating watching movies, talking to our beloved parents both side and my sister with her husband! I am very glad for all the blessings that my family is receiving each day such as good health and wish for a very long life for all of us!

The good news for me is I have just got home today from an overnight trip to Edmonton Alberta which is as you probably know the capital of Alberta. Since I had my heart attack my daughter (only child) and I go to the city overnight for some shopping and fun. We had a blast as usual and now we have all year to save up to do it all again next summer. My daughter is the best!!!

Well lately I've been feeling on top of the world, as I finally got that IRS refund check issue settled. I got the check into my account on last Monday...then it wasn't until Friday that I ordered my new bed and mattress. This was a real dire necessity...My bedframe is 47 years old, falling apart, and my 20 year old mattress is ready for a bonfire...LOL. I also ordered a large quantity of printing ink cartridges for my printer..sort of stocking up. I also paid off some very long over-due bills. Got a few won items (DVDs) from ebay...I won the Louise Hay's You Can Heal Your Life DVD, plus James Arthur Ray's Harmonic Wealth DVD, and The Golden Compass DVD...that I watched last night and it's fantastic...I also plan to stick some of the money into my savings account (which has a grand balance of 53¢..LOL). I'm planning to get floor tiles and re-tile my kitchen and maybe get paint to do a bit of painting up in my apartment. So right now....I'm feeling just fantastic to finally get some very badly needed things I've been hankering for to get...like the bed/mattress...for a VERY long time.

Hi my friend, Congratulations on finishing your writing assignment! The one thing good happening in my life right now is how I'm doing in my online college course. At my age, I was a little leary going back to school after some 30 years. After finishing my first course with an A and maintaining an A average on my current course, I feel like I'm doing pretty good. lol I just need to stay off of MyLot more so I can get my assignments done earlier. lol Happy MyLotting, Char
