What's your "Name Story"?

On August 02, 1968 an earthquake hit the Philippines with an intensity of 8.o in the Rossi-Forel Intensity Scale. One six-storey building in Manila, the Ruby Tower collapsed instantly during the quake. Other nearby buildings also suffered structural damages.
This is one story I remember when I was a kid. Of course, I was still a baby then so I have nothing known about that incident. Mother told me that they thought of giving me that name, RUBY. I don't know what went through and they given me my name after my mother (ROSARIO).

I really don't know why my parents gave me my name. I have no idea what specific happened on the day that I was born. But I looked up in the dictionary of names and the meaning of it is "Queen of War" and "Matriarch" the woman who rules. LOL.

Nothing important happens during my birthday, and I don't really like my name if you would ask. According to my parents, they had given my name in accordance to the sound of the chirping birds when my mother was about to deliver me into the World... huh, I wish birds did'nt sing during my birthday, my parents should have hear me screaming please call me "Luna" .. I love this name, it sounds peaceful and charming.

My name has no history really..LOL! It was the just the name that both my parents love since it is the sweetest name of one of the fruits..LOL!

Hi Neil,
That is a lovely name for you, but my parent nameed me after my father's mother who was french, so they called me Marie, thats all nothing as interesting as your.

Well nothing really special happened the day I was born it's just that my father is a very big fan of basketball that he named me Jordan (after his airness Michael Jordan of course)
Sad to say though I'm not into basketball. As I have said into one posts here maybe Magic Johnson would have been a better name.
