Tonight we are having Meatball Subs and Spicy oven roasted potatoes. The meatballs were left over from last night's spaghetti and meatballs. They came out so yummy! So what are you having for dinner tonight. If you would like to post a recipe, please do. I love getting new ideas for diner!

I would love to make our sweet and sour meatballs but need to check to see if we have everything for them. You take a basic meatball recipe and brown the meatballs then drain them and put them in a crock pot with a small jar of grape jelly and a jar of chili sauce and let them cook till they are done. Served over rice o egg noodles they are delicious. Going to check the pantry now.

My mom used to make those all the time when I was growing up. She would take them to family get togethers. She called them cocktail meatballs though. It sounds strange to combine grape jelly and chili sauce, but it tastes awesome. Oh, and she would brown hers in the oven instead of on the stove top.

I have no idea what I will be making for dinner tonight. It is going to be just me and the baby because my son is still out of town with his grandma. I will probably make something simple. I might even just do a sandwich for me and some tomato and cucumber and a piece of string cheese for the baby.

Well, I can tell you what we had for dinner last night, but for tonight, that's a very good question! But, I think I'll be making ham steak with milk gravy and fried potatoes and a side dish of fruit. That sounds pretty yummy to me right now. Last night we had rolled chicken potpie (aka chicken and rolled dumplings) made with tortillas sliced in strips for the dumplings. Turned out delish! Still have some left, but not enough for another dinner, so I'd best go get the ham out of the freezer now that I'm thinking about it. Thanks for the reminder!!
