If you saw someone drop a dollar bill on the ground and walk away, would you honestly return it to the owner? What if it was a $100 bill, would you do the same?

100 bucks is a lot!! If it was me who find that money, I would probably take the money and see of the owner is still looking at it. If the owner trying to find it, I will give it back, But I believe if it;s my GF you're talking about she will run to catch the owner of the money and give it back. It was actually happen, in the ATM center, My GF found a ATM card left alone in the machine. She ran away to catch a taxy to get to the woman, and she gave the ATM card back. Oh well...

Yeah, she almost got hit by a car to give the ATM card back. I was mad, not because that she give the ATM back, but more that because she is not careful with the street. She said that if she didn't run, she will miss that taxi, and she won't be able to give the ATM back. I told her that we could take the ATM to the lost and found, but she insist that giving it back to the owner is so much safer than giving it to someone she doesn't know. I know she's kind :)

Your GF goes one step beyond, she deserves a medal of merit on that account you mentioned. I once lost an ATM card and a kind person returned it to the lost and found, so I could pick it up.

I still would do the same. The amount to me does not matter. It is the act of honesty that should prevail in every circumstance. Whether or not the man would know, still there is God who sees every little thing that we do. So as for me, honestly should be employed in every details of our life. If we will refer to the Word of God, honesty is is the divinely appointed standard for men. And the following Bible verses will attest to that:1) Pray that we might live a life of honesty. 1 Tim. 2:2 2) Walk honestly toward them that are without. 1 Thessalonians 4:12 3) Provide things honest. Romans 12:17; 2 Corinthians 8:21 4) Have your conversation honest. 1 Peter 2:12 5) Do that which is honest. 2 Corinthians 13:7 2. Even if others are disobedient (2 Corinthians 13:7). 3. Honesty is associated with godliness (1 Tim. 2:2). 4. We are to be honest even when others have been evil to us (Romans 12:17). -------------- And therefore as for me, no matter how big or how small would be the amount involved, I will always choose to be honest all for the glory of God. Have a pleasant day!

Irregardless of the bill amount, I would certainly pick it up and return it. You never know just how badly they need that money
