Importance of Story

hi abhajith....i think story is important...its the base of the film...when any actor signs a film he listens to the story first and then if he likes it he will work in it...as i said story is the base and then comes the direction with good acting...if there is no base the film will not work...this is just my thinking...i donno if anyone agrees to it...thanx

I think it depends. A story does help, especially when you look at garbage like Epic Movie, but I have enjoyed films that were pretty short of a story. Or even a real plot.

The storyline is one of the major factors that contributes to the success of a film, likewise with the actors' performance and the director's talent and skill.
