Do you share clothes?

With your mom, daughter or sister? I'm an only girl in the family so I don't have siblings to content with when it comes to sharing clothes. And my mom's smaller than me so we don't often raid each other's closets. But just wondering- does anyone out here in myLot share clothes with members of the family? How does that feel? Do you get mad when your favorite sweater is missing or if your sister wears the new shirt first?

way back then, when I am still with my mom. my sister next to me loves to borrow my clothes. but I hate it. she's bigger and taller than me. even if I don't want to share mine, she'll use it without my consent and it s*cks!.. right after she'll use my clothes, it will become large!

well, I always told her that if the size of the clothes were small, then she shouldn't wear it.. she sometimes misinterpreted all of my advice, then she's the one who'll get mad at me and sometimes will told me that I just don't want her to borrow my clothes.

Oh no what a bummer! You should give her a dose of her own medicine! Wear some of her clothes or shoes or accessories without her permission! Haha! But if you communicate well enough you might just be able to establish a good system when it comes to sharing clothes.

I have two older sisters and it's really ok for us to share clothes but we have to get the permission first of the owner. Sometimes, when you are looking for your shirt and it's missing and you don't know where to find it, it's really frustrating. So we make sure we have to borrow first before using it. The good thing also about us sharing clothes is that we have almost the same size in clothes. But not in shoes, because i'm a size 8 and they are both size 7. So I can't really borrow their shoes but they can borrow mine because my shoe size is bigger. My mom has a size bigger than us. So we don't share clothes with her. But sometimes, we borrow her accessories like earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. She got a lot of accessories in her drawer.

Well that's a really smart way to go about it! It's very harmonious and organized. :) I'd like that kind of system too if I had sisters. Thankfully, I don't. I think you can still borrow their shoes though as long it's open at the back or not completely closed. :) I'm sure you can wear their flip flops or sandals if you want. But it's not really that healthy to share shoes is it? I don't know...

Yep their sandals and flip flops are ok. I don't think it's really not bad borrowing shoes from my sister. They really take good care of their shoes and of course, also their feet. But I don't know. It's really fine with us borrowing shoes with one another.

I dont have a sister either and so I dont have anyone to fight over anything but to answer your question, yeah I do share clothes with my Mom but in a different sense. Its more like a hand me down thing. Whenever I dont have anything to wear, I just borrow her clothes. Especially when I need to wear a business attire for school. Only have jeans and t shirts in my closet and 2 maybe 3 dresses. Its also the same with shoes. I guess thats the only thing that we share in the truest sense because we have the same shoe size. She borrows some of my slippers and my one of my rubber shoes when shes going to play sports and I borrow her sandals and high heels when I need them. With clothes, I get her old ones or the ones that she doesnt fit into anymore and I give her clothes that I dont use and that fits her. (She's a bit bigger than me.) My Mom has lots of clothes and shoes that I really dont need to buy new ones, I can just borrow from her. Less expensive and more practical. Did I mention that she still has her 80's clothes?? She doesnt use them anymore but she still keeps them. She really makes an effort to be "in" with the trends.LOL!

I have a younger sister, and we used to share our clothes when we were younger. Not now - ever since she had her youngest child, she had put on weight. However we still could share big Tshirts!

I would not mind with my siblings and I have done that as a child. But I am not comfortable with others. Thanks.

I am sure if you are the same size then the temptation to borrow someones clothes must be great, but lol there is no way that I could borrow my daughters clothes, one is a size six to eight and the other is a ten to twleve and for me those numbers dont add up!but if you were all the same size then yes it would be very good, there would be a never ending selection and your home would be ike a boutique!

When I was a little heavier my sister and I were about the same size clothes, at least in tops so we tended to share clothes a lot. Now that I've lost quite a significant amount of weight we no longer share clothes. It was fun when we did though, it was nice to save some money. Although right now I can't really complain about being much lighter. I'm trying to get my sister to go running with me everyday though so hopefully eventually we can get back to sharing clothes again!
